FILM POEMS

By: Chelsea Cristoffor and Will Sanders
  • Summary

  • Welcome to FILM POEMS, where we cover up to 6 films a month that teach us that BEAUTY IS VITAL. We write and include a poem for each one so we can be MOVED to think with a POETIC mind. We are insisting on the FULLNESS of art, in its capacity to make you feel ALIVE. Most of what we're seeing in the modern world is DISCONNECTED, DISEMBODIED, and completely removed from the pulsing FLOW of life. We're not going to stand for that. And if you're not going to either, then please join us and listen!

Episodes
  • Episode 8: WIZARDS (1977) (Ralph Bakshi)
    Sep 27 2024

The one where Chelsea breaks down on camera and keeps it in the episode so you can see us walk the walk. THE TRUTH IS VIOLENT. We explore this in the film Wizards, by Ralph Bakshi. We also cover Jung's theory about the god Odin possessing the spirits of the German people, the symbol of the sword (or in this case, the gun) as a truth bringer, and why being a talking head is so fucking weird. You can WATCH this on the @chelseacristoffor YouTube channel and you can become a member of our life-affirming band of heroes at Patreon.com/filmpoems
