In 1996, she became the CEO of Centro Moda School of Design in San Juan P.R. Thon is currently the Design Department Director at EDP University of Puerto Rico. 

Singers and actresses like Yolandita Monge, Kany García, Melina León, Olga Tañón, Daddy Yankee, and Don Omar among others have been dressed by Lisa for special events, editorials, magazine covers, CD portraits, and music videos. 

In 2006, Thon was the first Puerto Rican designer to feature a collection during the prestigious New York Fashion Week. She was awarded the ‘Puerto Rican Heritage Award’ by the Comité Noviembre in New York City.
