• Episode 52: For Goodness Cakes! Two Sisters Crushing the Dessert Game
    Jul 13 2021

    What is up EOE Community!

On this episode, we speak with the legends of the dessert food truck game out on Eastern Long Island, NY, Syndey and Sam. This is a special two in one episode! We interviewed them twice to put this colab episode together for you all.

For Goodness Cakes is literally killing the dessert game out here on Long Island. From Rainbow Cake Pops to Churro Tots...yes we said Churro Tots! But what is even cooler than those two gangster desserts is the fact that Sydney and Sam, the dynamic duo, are actually sisters!

What started as a hobby for one, turned into an amazing business venture for the two of them.

Their mission is : "We aim to not only exceed our guest's expectations, but to have them leave happier than they came. Always keeping our menu fresh, and our sweets fresher. We will "bake the world a better place" by operating as eco friendly as possible, and giving back to our community at the same time.

So saddle up, get ready, pick up some stuff form the AMAZING For Goodness Cakes truck and LET'S ROLL!

  • Episode 47: Jesse Barnett - Overcoming: Transforming Our Struggles Into Inspiration and Competitive Advantage
    Mar 29 2021

For this week’s episode, we got to spend some time with Jesse Barnett, a professional writer whose day job is helping people bring their message and their books to life. He’s the perfect guest to end our Overcoming series because he just released his own book called Soulcrushers: How to Release the Burdens You Were Never Meant to Carry.

We spent close to an hour talking about what it’s like to be a professional writer, how his blue-collar background paved the way for the work he’s doing now, why he can’t talk about some of the projects he’s been a part of, how to overcome impostor syndrome, the challenge of writing for others and capturing their voice, where to find inspiration, how many Disney World visits are too many Disney World visits, and how to overcome soul-crushing burdens like fear, doubt, anger, and hopelessness.

Even though the topics are heavy, the conversation is light and with Soulcrushers, Jesse has created a powerful, practical, and much-needed resource to help you overcome your burdens and live your own life with extraordinary excellence.
