  • My oldest son Benjamin is home from Vanderbilt University after his first semester. He’s a first generation college kid, and we talk about what it’s like at an elite university in the South and what the impact has been on his faith, his relationship with his high school sweetheart, and on his mental and physical health. 

    We talked about the challenges he sees when he looks at some of the family relationships of his peers and what advice he has for parents of older teens. 

    We also get into the subject of flourishing while at university. What does it look like go all in on God? What are Ben’s dreams for the next 5-10 years? Marriage, family, career, and more.
