In the last episode of The Pact and Boon, our heroes had embarked on a journey toward Hurtenburg, aboard the O'doole captained by Lester Lemon. Upon disembarking at the dock on Crestor, and bidding farewell to Lester, they found themselves immediately accosted by flashing lights and blaring sirens, signaling the arrival of Sheriff Don and his deputies. Accused of trespassing on private property, they were presented with a hefty demand of 800 gold per person to leave. Refusing this option, they were instead offered a grim alternative: joining Crestor's law enforcement.

Under duress, Jolly, Wolfgang, and Alon were required to give a blood sample, and use magic to imprint their arcane signature inside of a strange device. They were then introduced to Crestor's facilities. However, the tour took an unexpected turn when a young boy was caught trespassing, leading to a tense confrontation. In a desperate bid to free his family, the boy's father attacked Sheriff Don, only to meet a swift and brutal end.

With tensions escalating, our heroes were swiftly dispatched on a mission to conquer Hurtenburg, urged to prepare by financing their gear, and accruing more debt. Tune in to Episode 6 to witness the unfolding consequences of their choices as they navigate the desert path to Hurtenburg!
