On this weeks episode we are hanging out with Retired Sheriff's Deputy Officer Lloyd "Birl" Watkins. We dive in to Birl's humble beginnings as the poor son of a Pentecostal Minister/Farmer. Birl was the typical pastors kid wreaking havoc and embarrassing his dad and most didn't see him amounting too much in his future, but God had other plans. Birl landed in the Jeff Co Sheriff's office where he had a successful career as a law enforcement officer. Along the way Birl surrendered to Christ and accepted the call to minister as well, just like his father.

Birl describes what it's like being a Deputy and balancing the call of God in his life. He shares different stories over his career and we dive into some controversial events involving law enforcement over the past few years and ask his take on it.

Birl is an awesome dude, and has been apart of our lives for over 20 years. He and his wife of 30+ years have 2 kids, grandkids and have fostered many children over the years trying to show them what the love of a family means. He has been there for me more times than I can count. Just a great all around friend. So sit back and enjoy part 1 of this episode as we get in Stories From retired "LEO".
