• Vol. 5- moistbreezy
    Sep 26 2023

On Vol. 5 of Drink.More.Water Presents: The Artist Series we got pop extraordinaire moistbreezy in the studio with us.

moistbreezy is a NYC-based pop producer, singer/songwriter, and overall multi-hyphenate artist. She released her debut mixtape Breezy at the peak of Covid in 2020 and followed it up with the 2023 debut album Pure Imagination. A do-it-all artist who produces, writes, mixes, and masters every song herself, moistbreezy draws on a wide array of influences from Madonna's disco era to the 90s Eurodance sonic melting pot to modern-day techno. The genre-bending musical output is matched only by the ambitious world-building visuals which prompted Paper Mag to declare they'd "Rather Live in moistbreezy's World"

We sat down in the pizza shop to hear these new tracks, discuss how such an ambitious musical project came to be, and ruminate on the state of the pop music genre. moistbreezy is performing this Thursday 9/28 at Elsewhere and DJing Friday 9/29 at their regular Hulahoop residency at Mood Ring.

Live from Xpizza in the Seaport.

  • Vol. 4 - Savoia
    Aug 30 2023

Today we're joined by Savoia on Vol. 4 of Drink.More.Water Presents: The Artist Series.

Savoia is a NYC-based rock band comprised of frontman Lucas Allen, guitarist Caleb Rubin, bassist Mercer Meeks, and drummer Jonathan Awad. Drawing comparisons to East Village rock legends of yore like The Strokes, Savoia has already played sold-out shows at legendary venues such as the Mercury Lounge, Drom, and the Bitter End and with their first EP due out later this year it's clear they're just getting started.

We sat down to hear some of their unreleased work and talk about the state of rock and roll as a genre, where pop music in general is heading, and what's next for “your boyfriend’s least favorite band.”

Live from Xpizza in the Seaport.
