After an unsuccessful business deal, Doug’s father nearly declared bankruptcy--but rather than throwing in the towel, he decided to fight through and ended up paying back every dime. This worked in his favor in the long run, as he was later to borrow any money he needed to because he had built a reputation of having integrity and a strong work ethic.
