  • MAGA, MAHA, and the Unity Movement: The 267th Evolutionary Lens with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying
    Mar 12 2025

In this week’s episode, we discuss wheat and gluten; MAGA, Trump, Elon, and Massie; and elephants. First: the end to the first round of Bret’s European wheat experiment: what does it mean that he can eat European wheat, but not American wheat? Then: does Trump misunderstand the coalition that brought him to the presidency a second time? Will going after Thomas Massie be a strong move, or a bad move? Does Elon have too much power, and is he misusing it? How does masculinity manifest in this administration? Finally: elephants and their love of showers.

  • Hamgate: The 266th Evolutionary Lens with Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying
    Mar 6 2025

In this week’s episode, we discuss travel, Spain, ham, and MAHA. How do we travel, how has it changed over time, and what is the point? From the Alhambra to street altercations, what can we learn from the places that we go, and how we interact with them? Then: one cannot bring iberico ham into the United States from Spain, the USDA says, “because there are special restrictions.” We suspect the ham lobby. Also: past interactions with border control, over vanilla, and dart-poison frogs. And: MAHA should rally around RFK Jr., rather than splintering over headlines and tweets. He needs our support now as much as ever.

Great Podcast

The podcast is very informational; scientific data with a human touch. Love you guys! I barely heard of you a few months ago from the Joe Rogan interview and I immediately found you on Spotify and I wait for all of your podcasts now. I am very happy to have stumbled across you. You two are real in a very upside down world. God bless you and yours.

excellent, inteligent and scientific podcast

This is what real science is about! Questioning, reasoning, putting forvard hypothesis and looking at them from different angles.

The Truth

It’s refreshing to hear doctors and scientists tell the truth somewhere. Thank you to Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying for having the guts to tell The Truth. I will forever be in your debt.

Great comfort in hearing their podcast

Even though topic matter can be tense, Bret and Heather are some of the most eloquent, compassionate and courageous journalists we have the good fortune to have access to. They are exceptionally driven by integrity and in so doing are inspiring for listeners, especially after so many others have buckled to the dictates of the media.

Some interesting stuff

Check his wikipedia page for more information about this most interesting podcaster. Glad there are contrarians out there presenting alternative views, but it is always a good idea to check the primary sources. I'd especially recommend the TWIV podcast for information about viruses and ivermectin in particular since these are actual virologists who know their stuff.

Bret and Heather Are Absolutely Illuminating

Bret and Heather are two incredibly smart and well intentioned scientists who shine a light on the scientific world, and help us who are not involved understand the struggles and politics that play underneath the cover of science. They examine papers and hypothesis that for some reason get ignored by the mainstream, and ask questions that are both intriguing and worrisome. Of all my podcasts this one I feel keeps me the most educated, and helps me see the world of science from a less pedestrian point of view.

thank you for keeping logic and healthy skepticism in "science" and dissecting our confusing times with a well-measured scalpel.

Intelligent and profound source of real and important information

Thank you Bret. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all the work you are doing broadcasting such important information that most people don’t have access to, or time to find, or even the ability to dissect. I share this with everyone and I hope more people tune into DHP. Mahalo nui

Non-corrupt information distributor

While Dr. Weinstein is an individual with an idiosyncratic perspective, the content of this podcast should serve as a model of careful, thoroughly reasonable, information distribution; a practice all too rare in contemporary US.
