Cuban Dancer a new movie by Roberto Salinas on the world of dance starring a Cuban dancer, Alexis Valdes. By interviewing Alexis we will discover what it means to be the protagonist of a film and what it means to dance in front of a camera. Alexis left Cuba to move to America and study at the prestigious Harid Academy in America. At fiveteen years old, Alexis is already a promise of the Cuban National Ballet School when he discovers that his family wants to move to the United States. Determined to keep dancing, Alexis will have to leave behind his teachers, friends and first love to move forward in the difficult world of North American ballet, while remaining true to his roots.
