Emotions are energy and need to be moved and expressed. When there is no channel for this energy to flow it may collect in our minds, body, or physical space. This is part of what may instigate experiences of paranormal and poltergeist activity and leads to why this type of disruptive activity is most common for those in times of stress, transition, and high emotion. For example, we may hear more stories effecting those in teenage years, moving into a new space, career, or other life stressor.
The spirit world can reflect our inner world, and for that reason it can be powerful, if not essential, to process and channel our emotions in a good way. Anger is a good example that Elyse brings up in this episode. When suppressed it can leak into our lives in toxic ways or we can take ownership of our emotions, energy, and experience, and direct it into action or creation.
