    Sep 23 2024

Sarahbeth Taite chats with Leigh about her recent EP release, "The Way We Started".

Sarahbeth Taite created her latest EP during the transformative journey of raising her first daughter, Isla, and is now preparing to release it while expecting her second daughter. She has an inspiring story of overcoming the fear that motherhood might distance her from country music fans and the industry. Not only did she navigate the challenges of being a first-time mom, but she also orchestrated collaborations with top-tier writers, including 3x Grammy-winner Nathan Chapman, ACM Song of the Year winner Parker Welling, and SMACKsongs writer Scott Stepakoff, among others.

    About Sarahbeth Taite:

Country Singer-Songwriter Country Artist, Sarahbeth Taite is creating her own lane in today’s music scene. While her unique style of music and lyrical storytelling has a broad appeal, she has especially resonated with many young women and mothers. In 2020, fans found Sarahbeth’s single “Long Way'' on TikTok, garnering 8+ million streams, earning Sarahbeth an all-genres iTunes #1 and her Billboard chart debut. That success captured the attention of many music industry power players, earning her following singles significant editorial playlisting on every major streaming platform.

Her last 8 singles have been featured on the “Women of iHeartCountry” radio show hosted by Amy Brown. In addition, Bobby Bones has championed Sarahbeth, inviting her to perform on The Bobby Bones Show, The Bobby Bones Podcast and his BobbyFest Music Festival after he discovered her on TikTok. She has also had the support of CMT, with multiple music video features.

Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, Sarahbeth Taite knew she wanted to be an artist at a very young age when she climbed up on the piano bench beside her grandmother at just five years old. Her love of music was so strong that her parents decided she should take piano lessons. Years later, her teacher loaned her a guitar, and Sarahbeth became a multi-instrumentalist over the course of a weekend.

For her 14th birthday, Sarahbeth begged her parents for a trip to Music City to attend an NSAI songwriter's workshop. Her parents, recognizing her talent and dedication, agreed. That workshop led to her first publishing deal with Green Hills Music Group. After signing her pub deal, she then enrolled in online high school to be able to make the journey back and forth to Nashville to write.

Sarahbeth went on to sign her second publishing deal with Hall of Fame Songwriter Kye Fleming and SESAC Writer of the Year Catt Gravitt, who helped her begin developing her artistry. At just 17 years old, Sarahbeth drove her blue Chevy Silverado truck from Colorado to Nashville to fully pursue her dream.

Sarahbeth now embraces her new role as a wife, and young mother – often writing about her experiences in her music and carving out her own unique path within the industry. She’s always had a heart for children, and giving back to kids is a significant part of her platform as an artist. She’s made multiple appearances at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in partnership with Seacrest Studios and Musicians On Call to play music, sign autographs and host Q&A sessions to brighten the lives of children being treated. In addition, she has mentored young musicians at The Southern Girls Rock Camp, whose mission is to support positive self-esteem for girls through music.

  • Chat with Grace Asbury: Coda Country Chats - Season 4, Episode 1
    Sep 4 2024

Having recently released a single collaboration with Dalton Dover, Grace Asbury joins us for the Season 4 premiere of the Coda Country Chats podcast to talk about the song, "Saving You Saved Me". Growing up in Georgia, Grace talks about her move to Nashville and her amazing opportunities she has had in the writers' room.

About Grace Asbury: Channeling both real life, joy, and angst into songs that connect with her audience has made Grace Asbury one of the most notable young artists on today’s country music scene. But it’s more than just her writing chops and strong, warm voice that are propelling Asbury’s career. Asbury has developed her own unique style that merges thoughtful, literate songwriting with her edgy Southern rock-infused sound.Asbury knows the power of music because she’s felt it in her own life, and she wants to have that impact on others. “Songwriting has been super cathartic for me,” she says. “I'm blessed in the fact that I can write my feelings out within a melody, and it helps so much putting it on paper and singing it. And when I listen to other artists like Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert, I feel like, ‘Wow! They’ve lived my life. They know me.’ Songwriting is such a powerful thing and it’s great to be able to speak for people who don’t know how to put their feelings into words. Music is really one of the most powerful tools in our world for healing. I want to wrap people up in a blanket of feelings, to provide them the warmth they need in a tough moment. As songwriters, we have this power that God gave us to help people. I want to use that gift.”

  • Chat with Ryan Trotti: Season 3 Finale - Part 2!
    Aug 12 2024

(PART 2) Ryan Trotti joins Leigh on the season finale of Chats Pod to discuss his new single, "Never Drinking Again, Again" and his recent opening set for Redferrin. About Ryan Trotti: Genuine. Versatile. Passionate. Persistent. Those are the best words to describe Ryan Trotti. Not to be cliche', but honestly, if Sam Hunt and Johnny Cash had a music baby, godfathered by Eminem, this is who it'd be. He's got a pretty rockin' mullet too, and that doesn't hurt. Raised on traditional country by his mom, classic rock & roll by his dad, and 90s hip-hop from his friends, this 2019 Carolina Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year winner has a unique ability to create music in multiple genres, while staying genuine to each, although his heart remains partial to country. He got his start in the 3rd grade, when his mother taught him a blues riff on the piano. From there, he taught himself drums, piano, and guitar. He developed his ear and began producing at age 12, which led to songwriting and becoming a performing artist. He has become accomplished on virtually every piece of equipment and tool used in modern production. His diverse talent and ear has allowed him the opportunity to produce and write for/with many well-known hip hop, pop, and country artists, including studio sessions with platinum selling rock band, Crossfade. In addition to producing music, Ryan also co-produced and starred in a full length, award-winning short film/music video, which debuted to a packed out theatre in Charlotte, NC. Most recently, Ryan has been working with one of Nashville's favorite producers, Jake Parshall, who used to tour at the guitarist for Cody Johnson. When Covid-19 slowed down live shows in the industry, Ryan stayed active writing and recording all new material. His first single, “Thank You For Breaking My Heart”, which a feel-good, positive spin on the pain of breaking up, caught the ear of one of Nashville's top radio promoters, Jerry Duncan. Jerry and his team have promoted over 82 #1 hits on radio, including artists Jason Aldean (Hicktown), Morgan Wallen (Up Down, Whiskey Glasses), Florida Georgia Line (Cruise), along with many others. As a result, Ryan's first single scored a top 40 slot in the Country Breakout Chart. Ryan has recently teamed up with Hollow Point Records and ADA/Warner Music Group for distribution of his fun new summer single, “Never Drinking Again, Again”, which released everywhere on July 12! • Chat with Arianna Pappas
    Aug 12 2024

Leigh chats with Arianna Pappas on this episode of Coda Country Chats, and she tells all about her newest single, "Daddy's Dime". You may have seen Arianna singing her heart out to the National Anthem at a sporting event around Nashville, and you'll see her out and about singing in venues and songwriters rounds in town.

    About Arianna Pappas:

A promising future has begun for Nashville-based pop country artist and songwriter Arianna Pappas. Her brand new single 'Daddy's Dime' brings powerful vocals, relatability, and an extra dose of sass to the music scene.Pappas is an east coast native, but she got to Nashville as fast as she could. Singing just about since the day she could talk, she has successfully nurtured a soulful, rock-infused timbre with a tinge of country heart. Many have compared her to the likes of Stevie Nicks, Florence Welch, and Dolly Parton. Pappas’ journey brought her to Nashville’s own Belmont University in 2020 to study songwriting. As a writer, she has a unique and defining sound, inspired by storytellers like Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. Her songs challenge the pop country landscape by merging infectious melodies, compelling stories, and clever metaphors. These elements can be heard on the carefree summer love tune ‘Every Mile’ (January 2024) and breakup bop ‘Space’ (February 2023). Pappas’ writing also led her to receive her first outside cut with country artist Abbie Callahan's 'Redneck Lingerie' in November 2023.Aside from her original music, Pappas has built up an impressive resume performing The National Anthem at 100+ sporting events since 2017. Her biggest performances so far have been for the MLB Cleveland Guardians, Tennessee Titans Foundation, and Vanderbilt University Baseball.
