  • Que Pasa USA
    Aug 15 2023

In this podcast, we take a look at a groundbreaking public television program from Miami, Florida.  "Que Pasa USA", originally an educational program which soon became a national phenomenon, was the first bilingual sitcom produced in the USA.  Featuring an immigrant Cuban family adjusting to life in the United States, the series ran between 1977 and 1980.

  • Anxiety: Friend, Not Foe
    Jul 12 2023

Anxiety.  How ironic that, despite the fact that anxiety and panic attacks are now the "common cold of mental health issues" and experienced by millions, those who suffer from it feel so alone and isolated from the rest of the world.  Although it feels otherwise, anxiety is actually NOT a "bad" emotion.  It's just part of the collection of feelings we have as humans and it is actually there to protect us from perceived threats.  (Even though it occasionally overreacts or kicks up when least expected.)  Check out my latest podcast which delves into that well-meaning but pesky sidekick we call "anxiety."
