Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... In two verses in John, Jesus explains the working of the Holy Spirit. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. 4 things the Holy Spirit who lives in us does for us: - teaches us all things - reminds us of all that Jesus has said to us - guides us into all truth - shows us things to come Matthew 11:28-30 (Jesus says) Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • The end of this world as we have known it came at 12:45 pm, October 1, 2024
    Oct 2 2024
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Acts 1 7 And HE (Jesus) said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in HIS own power. We may not know the exact time Jesus will return, but when we see Israel surrounded by armies and attacked, I believe a trumpet sounds for those of us who belong to God and know Bible. (When the leaves fall, we know winter comes next and it is only a matter of time before snow falls. I believe everything changed as of October 1 at 12:45 pm / ET, when Iran fired missiles on Israel. From this point on it will be expansion... one thing after another.) 💥💥💥 A look back 2000 years: Just before Jesus ascended into heaven ... Jesus said: Acts 7 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when HE had spoken these things, while they beheld, HE was taken up; and a cloud received HIM out of their sight. And since that time that Jesus was taken up into heaven, we (the church) have been waiting for the return of Jesus, the great tribulation, the end of this present heaven and earth. The heavens and earth will pass by fire. God has created new heavens and new earth for the righteous. And only the righteous will be in that new heaven and new earth. There will be no more bodies of human flesh. Then there will only be righteous spirits. (I Cor. 15) Acts 1 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as HE went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. (Where the wait for the return of Jesus began.) 2 Peter 3 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. While we view this time between the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus as 2000+ years ... in God's sight it has only been 2 days! Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 💥💥💥 What's next? The great tribulation where God judges this earth with HIS 14 plagues ... that could take a few decades ... expect one plague after another ... and then this heaven and earth soars with fire and a loud noise vanishes ... Jesus returns and gathers HIS church and we are changed into our new spiritual bodies and are taken to the new heaven and new earth, the new Jerusalem wherein there are only the righteous! Matthew 24 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field ...

  • Though our outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)
    Oct 1 2024
Re-published from March 28, 2024 Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... If you are born again, hopefully you have learned to focus on something other than your physical body as the world does. I go to physician assistant once a year in order to get a prescription for Ambien sleep aid. Other than that, I will go in if I really need help with something and can't take care of it with standard over the counter medicine in a reasonable time. I'm 86, and most of the time, I don't have to go to medical office except once a year. But I have learned to pay very little attention to my human body. Usually it gets well by itself after 2 or three days. I think God created it that way. I don't do "preventive medicine", because I don't want to do it. I don't believe in it. I have the right to choose. So I choose. But being a real Christian, I'm really not afraid to die. Recently I was so depressed by something a church woman did, I asked God to let me die. But God didn't and HE caused things to help me recover. Remember how Elijah asked to die when Jezebel was after him? But God had an angel cook him a meal out in the wilderness and after Elijah ate, things looked better to him, and he kept doing the work of a prophet of God. The outward man usually perishes. I really don't consider this to be a big deal as some church people do. So what? Life doesn't end just because we die! There is an appointed time of 70 years life in Bible, but some live longer. Many are already well past that 70 year time and they try to hang on as if they were 20. I consider this foolish and I choose not to do this nor do I choose to put myself into the medical system thinking to extend life. I only want to live as long as I can exhort the church. I've asked God to let me die the day I can no longer exhort the church. (I'm 86.) My PA thought I might be having heart attacks and she offered to administer an EKG to find out. I thought about her offer, and then said, "I don't think so." (I don't want to be caught up in this.) If I die, I die. I learned to take aspirin when the pain struck and in a few days it stopped.) I've met people who can't do anything much but think about their bodies. That is a trap I really do not plan to participate in. (Of course if the pain got bad enough, I might ask for some pills until I could die. So far, that hasn't happened. But I'm not trying to live on this earth. You have to know what your goal is.) 💥 My goal is to make provision at my house where I can read more Bible. I'm totally uninterested in going for a walk or things like that. And I eat what I want to eat. I don't mind looking like the homeless woman who can't walk. Sometimes if we do go out in the car, I put make up base over the brown blemishes that have appeared of late on my face. Sometimes I even put on light lip-stick. Why not? But I don't focus on fixing my flesh. I just cover up a little! 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • One will be taken, one left, when Jesus returns. Will we be ready the day Jesus returns?
    Sep 30 2024
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Matthew 24 (Jesus says) 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away. 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 💥💥💥 Comments by Joan Boney: I have been called by God and was given the spiritual gift of "exhortation". To "exhort" means: to urge the church by advice and warning. (Romans 12:8) Concerning "exhortation" we are told the following in the Bible. Hebrews 3 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; So "daily" I publish on our blog and present recorded Podcasts. Hebrews 10:25 ... but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Often the devil says to me: "You write too much ... You speak too much." But I read in the Bible to write and speak even more to the church as I see us approaching the return of Jesus for the sin and wickedness of this world will get even worse as we near the return of Jesus. So I exhort the church "even more" as the Bible says to do. 💥💥💥 The devil would like me to stop doing this so he says in my ear, "They aren't listening to you. They tire of you." But I see by the scriptures in Hebrews 3 & 10 to exhort the church daily and to exhort them even more as the sin increases on this earth. And I pray to be able to do this until I am removed from this earth. Should I listen to devil and stop and Jesus returns, I will not be "ready" for I stopped my assignment and began to eat and drink with the wicked. Matthew 24 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. So do the assignment which God has given you and continue doing that until Jesus returns to gather the elect. (It is very simple.) 💥💥💥💥💥

  • God leads us today by scriptures, HIS Word, which he brings to us out of both the Old and New Testaments
    Sep 29 2024
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Examples given of God doing this with various Christians. Patterns of how God speaks to us today by HIS Word. Faith in that which God says to us. From the Old Testament: an example of following God by doing what God says. God calls Joshua to lead the children of Israel after the death of Moses, and how to accomplish the will of God for our lives. These things apply to that which God has told us to do today. When God tells you to do something today, the pattern which will show you what to do and how to have good success. Philippians 4:13 The apostle Paul says: I can do all things through Christ (the Word given me by God in the issue of this life) which strengtheneth me. 💥💥💥 Pam Padgett, a member of the body of Christ, saw a word from Old Testament which showed her to take early retirement because her job was destruction to her. Micah 2:10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. What would she do with all that time ? Pam retired in February, 2012, at age of approximately 56. God gave me a dream to start a blog in March, 2012. I called Pam to see if she could set it up and run it for the ministry. (Then we learned that Pam has spiritual gift of "helps".) I Corinthians 12:28 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Everything turned out very well for her after early retirement. She has been working with us since she retired. Now she has set up and maintains blog, our books with Amazon, and since 2020 Podcasts, and now the addition of the Classical Music Podcast. Recently we had to get another church person to help Pam with all the work she has had to do. 💥💥💥 On this Podcast, I present how God leads us, often with Old Testament scripture. Joshua 1 (God taught Joshua how to do the work to replace Moses in the job of leading the Children into the promised land.) 1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. (The assignment given Joshua differs from our assignment but the method of doing the assignment still applies to the New Testament church today.) 3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (The "book of the law" for us is the New Testament Bible which contains laws of God for the New Covenant church. Also many promises of God apply to the New Testament church today.) 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. • Mark 4:3-20
    Sep 28 2024

    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...

    Jesus says

3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:

4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.

💥💥💥 Jesus explains: Mark 4 14 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. 18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. 20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred. 💥💥💥💥

  • For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. (James 2:26)
    Sep 27 2024
Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... God taught me to hear HIM by HIS HOLY Spirit and to do what the Word said to do by believing it was God speaking to me when it was God. The voice of God is different. I have found it to be pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, just as it says in James 3:16. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. I attended a church called, "Word of Faith," in the late 1970's. I thought they were doing that which God taught me to do about faith. I thought they were like me and I was like them. But the teacher of our Bible class said, "You were never like us. We talked about faith. But you lived faith." This Podcast explains what he was saying. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • God will shake the heavens and the earth
    Sep 26 2024

    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ...

    Hebrews 12

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now HE hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

💥💥💥 Revelation 21 (The new heavens and new earth) 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. 💥💥💥 Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do HIS commandments: HIS praise endureth for ever. 💥💥💥💥💥
