  • Pursuit of money, fame, reputation ... Overcoming our own flesh
    Jul 14 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 11, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... We cannot pursue fame, money and reputation among men and serve God. The only way we can be a servant of God is to do that which God tells us to do which is opposite to the way of this world. But our flesh wants fame, money and reputation. So there is a battle. How do we overcome our own flesh? This is the story of this Podcast. == I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us: 15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM. Matthew 4:8-11 Again, the devil taketh HIM (Jesus) up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth HIM all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto HIM, All these things will I give THEE, if THOU wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth HIM, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto HIM. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 (NASB) And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only HE (Jesus, the Word) who now restrains will do so until HE (Jesus, the Word) is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of HIS mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; Titus 3:10-11 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; 11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ (the Word) which strengtheneth me. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • In this time of the last days, we should go forward with much more confidence, knowing the Holy Spirit dwells in us
    Jul 13 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 18, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... The Holy Spirit of God, who dwells in each believer, teaches us all things, reminds us of all Jesus has said to us, guides us into all truth, shows us that which is to come. (John 14:26 & John 16:13) These are incredibly powerful weapons which this world does not have. We, who have the Holy Spirit of God in us, should not go down with this world nor with those religious people who have not God. Do you understand that the Holy Spirit of Jesus lives in each believer? By this Spirit, we know the will of God for us in the specific issues of this present life. (I Corinthians 2) James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and HE shows us truth in each question of this present life. == John 14:26 Jesus says ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 Jesus says ... Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 2 Corinthians 3:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • They say they are Christians but they do not believe that Jesus (The Word) comes to us today into our flesh to lead and guide us
    Jul 12 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 15, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... All people know there was a man who walked on this earth and his name was Jesus. But few know that Jesus lives inside the believer today by HIS Spirit ... and the Spirit of Jesus brings scripture and concepts to the mind of the believer to teach him, to guide him, to show him things to come. Few people, even those people in churches, believe that Jesus has come into the body of the believer to live in that believer by His Spirit. I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? I Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. II Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Romans 8 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you. Jesus lives in each believer today by that Spirit which God gives us after we believe the Word. Ephesians 1:12-13 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (They come saying "Jesus is Lord" and deceive many) 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on HIM (the Word) whom HE (God) hath sent. Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. John 14:26 Jesus says ... 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Critical things for us in these end times
    Jul 11 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 30, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... One of the most important things for each of us is to live in peace continually. For when Jesus returns for the church it is very important that we be found by Him at that time living in peace, without spot, and blameless. II Peter 3:12-14 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM (of Jesus) in peace, without spot, and blameless. It would be impossible for us to live in peace unless we do the following continually. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Is there anything troubling you today? Are you concerned about anything that is coming tomorrow? Is there a fear of any kind concerning tomorrow? If so, you are not living in peace. You are failing to connect with God through prayer. As we pray about each of our cares daily, we show that we trust in God and not in ourselves. We connect with God by prayer. And that makes us worthy to escape those things that are coming upon this earth says Jesus. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon HIM; for HE careth for you. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Matthew 24:12-13 Jesus says ... And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 8:1, 13-14 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Revelation 3:5 Jesus says ... He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Be thankful. Turn your life around.
    Jul 10 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 29, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Each of us have thoughts where we could feel sorrowful or complain. We also have things for which we can be thankful. If we learn to deliberately choose to think on those things for which we are thankful, we can turn our lives around. Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. There are times when your husband or wife or friend does trifle things which annoy you. As you think on the grievances, you puff up and sometimes strike out. If you will pray, asking God for help, and also deliberately think of things whereby your husband or wife or friend did things that caused you to rejoice, the grievances often fly away, disappearing. Devils often attack by bringing negative thoughts to our minds. Our flesh sometimes wallows in those thoughts and things get much worse. And there is no good thing in our flesh, says Paul. (Romans 7) We, who have the power of the Holy Spirit of Jesus living in us, have in HIM a great power for good toward ourselves and toward others also if we will live in HIS power. Galatians 5:15-16 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit (that which God brings to your mind), and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. It is not that we act in a phony way. But there are real things that other person has done for us which we can think on, blessings from God by that other person. Learn to think on those things, especially when you want to strike out. And above all, pray, asking God to help you in the midst of the attacks, for God will help you when you desire help. James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. I Timothy 2:1-4 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Galatians 5:19-23 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things (the return of Jesus), be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless. Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 2 John vv. 8-11 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Using the great power of God that is in us to do the will of God on this earth
    Jul 9 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 26, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... God has placed each of HIS people in a role on this present earth with an "assignment" to do. How do we know our assignment? It is simple. Our assignment is where we are right now. * A husband and father ... a wife and mother ... a businessman ... a teacher... a mechanic ... a waitress. We begin where we are. Our goal in our assignment: To serve God in all things and to reflect God in our actions. Each of us have been equipped by God to succeed. Pray, asking God what you are to do today. Ask God how you are to fulfill today's assignment. Ask God to give you wisdom to do that which you need to do, for understanding and wisdom are from God. Follow the concepts and scriptures given you by the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. Keep them before you throughout the day. There is a great Holy Spirit in us to enable us to do all the will of God in the matters set before us. Follow that Holy Spirit doing what HE brings to your mind. Asking God to fill your day. Depending on God rather than on yourself. The starting point for us as we live today is presented in this Podcast. Acts 17:26 (NASB 1995) and He (God) made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, John 5:30 Jesus says ... I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto HIM be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. John 14:26 Jesus says ... James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • The way of the ungodly will perish
    Jul 8 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 25, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... They call themselves Christians, but they do that which is right in their own eyes, in their own way of thinking. They do not call on God for HIS wisdom in the specific issues at hand. They are like a leaf blowing in the wind. They go one way then the opposite way without any thought at all. They do not seem to have faith that God will communicate HIS will to themselves, therefore they don't think to ask God. The ones who hear from God are like a rock which will never fall. But the way of the ungodly, those who fail to consider that which God wants them to do, their way of doing things, will perish. Psalm 1 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord (the Word of God); and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog

  • Jesus says: "I can of mine own self do nothing. As I hear (from God) I judge." John 5:30
    Jul 7 2025
(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 24, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... John 5:30 Jesus says: I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME. We should be exactly the same as Jesus. We should understand that of our own selves we can do nothing. We hear from God the Father through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us and we learn to follow THAT Word. John 14:26 Jesus says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. We recognize the thoughts that are from God by the following: James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. But if we are in envy and strife there is confusion and every evil work. James 3 We must give up the envy and strife through repentance and prayer. Psalm 51:10 David prayed: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Antichrist in the churches thinks he can do the works of God by his own wisdom and he does not call on God for wisdom concerning his plans, for he is opposite to God and thinks of himself to be able to do spiritual things. Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus says: Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity. John 6:63 Jesus says: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:5-14 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 💥💥💥💥💥 * For writings on additional subjects, click here: Jesus Ministries Exhortations Blog
