Hour 1

Gio is back but Boomer is still out so it’s Gio & Jerry. They started with the Yankees win last night thanks to a Josh Donaldson Grand Slam in the 10th. Gio thinks the Yankees will get beat again in the playoffs this year. Jerry doesn’t know how the Yankees dominated for 100 games and now this. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts his first update with Josh Donaldson hitting a walk off grand slam in the 10th. Brett Baty hit a HR in his first major league swing for the Mets last night, helping the Mets to a 9-7 win. Joe Klecko is a finalist for the Hall of Fame and it is very likely he gets in. In the final segment of the hour, Gio talks about the George Carlin documentary he watched on HBO.

Hour 1

Boomer & Gio are both out so it’s Jerry & Sal today. We start with Sal’s vacation out east and he could not believe there are $30 million homes on Long Island. Then we get into the Yankees and Jerry says they have been lousy. Sal wonders who the Yankees really are. Are they the team we are seeing now or the team we watched in the first half of the season? We talked about the Kay-Rod broadcast with Derek Jeter as a guest. With Jerry hosting, C-Lo is in the update chair. He starts with the Mets beating the Phillies and their announcers seem to think the Mets are dinking and dunking hits. The Mets have done a great job of not giving up many runs at all lately. They also talked about the Kay-Rod cast with Derek Jeter and the Jeter documentary. The Yankees & Red Sox game lasted only 2 hours & 15 min last night and the Yankees lost 3-0. We wonder where Giancarlo Stanton has been. Sal overslept and missed the first hour of his show last week. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s first HR and John Sterling’s HR call. Jerry loves it, Sal doesn’t care for it. Jerry plays some of Sterling’s HR calls from people you don’t even remember were on the Yankees.

Hour 2

The 7am hour starts with Gio and Sal discussing the news that the NFL will appeal Deshaun Watson’s suspension in an attempt to increase it. Sal and Gio agree that fans are tired of hearing about off-field legal cases. CLo returns and begins the update with a Pete Alonso home run. Buck Showalter was in a strange mood and Chris Bassitt loves Luis Guillorme’s defense. Gerrit Cole was blasted by the Mariners in a 7-3 Yankees loss. Football is back as the Hall of Fame game is tonight.In the final segment of the hour, the guys discuss Gerrit Cole’s bad start and whether or not he’s a true “ace” that can be counted on in October. Who is the best starter the Yankees have and who can they count on for the postseason? Gio wonders if Brian Cashman is happy with how things worked out and the Yankees landing Frankie Montas instead of giving up more for Luis Castillo. Sal recalls running into Cashman in an airport.

Boomer & Gio open with the Mets win and how this upcoming series against the Phillies is Mets heaven. They will have Scherzer, deGrom and Bassitt on the mound. The Yankees lost again. Some fans are concerned and some are not since they are still so many games over .500. With no Mets or Yankees tonight, we will be locked in on the Giants first preseason game of the season against the Patriots. We talked about what we expect from Daniel Jones.

The boys are back in...another town attending Giants camp. Boomer and Gio are live from Giants camp today. We start with the Mets taking 4-of-5 from the Braves and the Yankees getting swept by the Cardinals. Jacob deGrom had a perfect game going into the sixth inning yesterday. Boomer thinks Keith Hernandez jinxed it. Boomer is once again saying Edwin Diaz is on his way to becoming Mariano Rivera. We also talk about the players the Mets & Yankees brought in at the trade deadline. We also talked about the importance of Buck Showalter and how the Mets finally got the right guy.
