  • 168 – The Ajatar
    Jun 26 2024

This week was case of tiny bits of lore, but an interesting discussion. Meet the Ajatar, a snake woman from Finnish Folklore that spreads disease and lures hunters to their death. Not a lot is known about her, but the little bit we did find out is worth some interesting discussion. We also talk about the Vatican's 50 miles worth of archival evidence of the paranormal, and spooky prom photos?

  • 167 – The Pishtaco
    Jun 20 2024

Bob has noticed an interesting trend in his early streams on his Twitch channel. A small surge of viewers from Ecuador and Chile! So, what better way to reward than doing an episode about a piece of spooky folklore from their neck of the woods. Meet the Pishtaco. Not to be confused with a fish taco, the pishtaco is a strange vampiric creature who lives off of, get this, human fat. These things drain the fat out of a person, and feeds on it. Then, even stranger, they sell this fat to the beauty care companies out of Europe. These are vampires who don't have the stereotypical look to a classic blood sucker. They look like everyday folk, but with something just...off about them. What is interesting is that this is the MAJOR big bad of that neck of the woods. To this day, rural areas in the Ande mountain area still believe in the Pishtaco. Also, Count Panek and Bob talk about the life span of a ghost, and Mothman rootbeer!

  • 166 – Sorbet Jungle Interview and Huggin’ Molly.
    Jun 5 2024

Meet Dea, a toy designer who is one part a fan of bananas, and one part a fan of crocodiles. This interest lead her to create a convention icon known as the Crocoana . Why are we interviewing a toy maker? Well, coming soon is the Colossal Mothmanana. One part Mothman, one part banana, and one part crocodile. We talk to Dea about her background in toy designing, love of spooky stuff, and now pushing out the single biggest piece of Mothman related merch on the planet that we know of. Find out all about that Kickstarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sorbetjungle/colossalnana-and-smoothie-siblings-a-croconana-kickstarter

Also, Count Panek and Bob dive into the strange and unusual world of Huggin' Molly. A giant creature out of Alabama who is known for looking for people, specifically kids, who are out past dark. She's known to to get close to an ear and scream at the person. We talk about several encounters with the creature.

great mix of legends and lore

I started listening to this podcast thanks to Ghostly. It is a great mix of cryptids and the random unexplainable things in this world. I like that the topic vary each episode and it isn't all ghosts or big foot. I would definetly recommend listening to this if you like the weird unexplained things.
