She says she was wrapping hands backstage and working with the fighters. Her inspirational message is, “You can be what you want to be at any point in time. It doesn’t matter what happened in the past – you leave it there.”

    Bantamweight Battle of 2 warriors - BKFC 34. Bantamweight Alberto Blas, (1-0, 1 KO), of Miami, FL knocked out Jeremiah Potts, (0-1), in the first round (0:54). Blas overwhelmed Potts from the start of the fight with a barrage of power shots.

    He told Bare Knuckle News that he is ready for a title fight and really enjoyed fighting in the clinch. He also says he was not affected by the weigh in antics before the fight. He credits his manager Aldo Espinosa owner of El Toro Loco MMA and celebrity Chef and Owner of El Toro Loco Churrascaria

  • BKFC 34 Hollywood Feature Interview Matt Russo | Bare Knuckle News™

    Fighting in the flyweight division Florida Matt ‘Rambo’ Russo, (1-0, 1 KO), and Jakobi Lowry, (0-1), also of Florida had an explosive first round. Both fighters were making their debut.

    Lowry dropped Russo early in the first round but before the round ended Russo returned the favor and the ringside physician stopped the bout at the end of the opening stanza with Lowery’s vision being impaired.

    Russo told Bare Knuckle News he really likes fighting without gloves and knows he needs to pick up the momentum next time.

    Underground bare-knuckle legend and fan favorite Rene ‘White Boy’ Rodriguez, (1-0, 1 KO), of Miami, Florida looked smashing in his debut scoring a first-round knockout of Jake ‘The Goon’ Young.

    A beautiful over hand right dropped Young early and followed by a big left hand giving a Rodriguez the TKO victory at the 1:57 mark.

    Rodriguez spoke to Bare Knuckle News Host Susan Cingari after the fight and said he really liked fighting in the squared circle as it allowed him to showcase his talents and feel his opponent out.

    While his opponent came in overweight, "White Boy" had studied him and was able to overcome his the reach advantage by looking for the gaps in his game.

    For those that are not familiar with "WhiteBoy, Hialeah Champ" Rodriguez has been in the game for a long time having started with Dada 5000 and Kimbo Slice in the Backyard Fights. His record stands at 14-2 in the backyard and now has his first win at in a new weight class for him of 165 for BKFC.

    Davis Tells Bare Knuckle News Host Susan Cingari, he prepared for Dunkle who is a southpaw by sparring specifically with his team mates. Davis is no stranger to the game by the way fight fans he boasts a professional boxing record of 9-0 with five KOs. His amateur boxing record includes nearly 30 bouts. He was preparing at the Olympic Training Center to represent the United States in the Olympics before a hand injury motivated him to make his professional boxing debut sooner than expected.

Lopez's hand was also cut, possibly on Davis's tooth. Lopez says, "I really studied him...I utilized my jab...it's about timing, distance and accuracy."

    In the light heavyweight fight at BKFC 34 Hollywood, Jeremy "Pitbull" Smith of South Africa, wins in round 3 by KO with a powerful left hook to Leo Valdivia of Estrella, Nicaragua. In rounds 1 and 2, Smith says he was chasing Valdivia too much and his coach Billy Padden said Smith needed to focus and "cut the ring off." At round 3, his coach said, "make it dirty...make it ugly!"

    Smith says he was surprised Valdivia's foot work was "very good," and "he was able to punch and get out very quickly." Smith continues, "I should have pushed the fight a bit more forward." As to whether Smith studied the "holes" in Valdivia's game, Smith says Valdivia "never had a boxing fight," and Valdivia's background is from MMA and karate.

    When asked who's next, Smith says, "I just want to stay as active as possible," and "whoever's next, I'm knocking out!"
