  • Episode 315 - Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury
    Jun 22 2024

This week, it’s been long enough without us covering some mobile suit combat, and why not throw in some space lesbians while we’re at it? Some come and join as we watch 5 episodes (prologue through ep. 4) of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury!

Meanwhile Dylan wishes we brought a hardcore Gundam fan on the show to school both Shaun & Rem.

  • Episode 314 - Hitorijime My Hero - One of the Trashiest Shows We Have Seen
    Jun 15 2024

This week, I’m fairly certain Shaun went out of his way to find one of the worst episodes for Pride month just to torment his co-host. I would say come join us as we watch 5 episodes of Hitorijime My Hero, but honestly I wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Meanwhile Remington nearly has a breakdown.

Fun takes on Amime-just don't take too seriously

The hosts have great chemistry and bounce off one another in humor and in general conversation.
I will say this is everything I expect from someone who doesn't like anime but is friends with people who do. It brings me personal joy, but if you're kinda protective over a particular show, maybe skip that episode. But if you're here for the fun, go for it.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH

just ignore the Haikyuu episode, the Attack on Titan episodes, the Sword Art Online episodes, the Demon Slayer episode, the Ghibli episodes (except for Totoro and Omoide no Marnie), the JJK episode, the Your Lie In April episode, the Shougeki no Soma episode, and the Shield hero episode and you’ll be fine.
I don’t actually like or care for any of the anime besides Haikyuu, the Ghibbles, Demon Slayer, and Shougeki no Soma, but apparently all of these were episodes that made people very angry so...
But yeah I love this so much it is an amazing podcast would definitely recommend

Hotels moving Castel review

I actually really loved Rem's review of Howl's moving Castle.
I'm a big Chibli fan, have been since I first saw Totoro.
Rem. really does make valid points about the story plot and character development.
I will still love the movie. Thanks for the laughs!

Forced =/= Funny

Listened to several episodesabs, while I enjoyed their takes on many of the shows (especially Kiki's Delivery Service, which is not only my fav Ghibli movie, but my fav movie in general (69, nice)), a lot of Remington's reactions felt... forced? I don't doubt his opinions on the shows/movies aren't genuine, but it feels like they're being hammed up for attempted entertainment value and gives the impression that he's trying too hard to be 'upset' about some of these series (i.e. the imouto genre shows). Would listen more, but the overreaction bugs me too much. Not a bad show, but not something I want to listen to further.
Best of luck, Sean and Remi.
