This is an excellent, well produced program that tells stories about American policies that affected society in many profound ways but that were often stupid, ineffective or otherwise not in keeping with the characteristics espoused in the American mythos.
We Americans would be better off as a society if we were educated in our successes as well as failures so that we may avoid repeating the latter.
Acknowledging mistakes should be part of the down to earth, honest, patriotic American stereotype. Instead, many choose to deny unsavory shenanigans and hide behind childish whataboutism. Owning up to one's mistakes should be an American virtue.

I love the stories & series but WHY do I have by o scroll through an entire 200+ episode catalog? Surely in todays technological age, we can group episodes by “series title,” instead of the listener having to scroll endlessly. Yes, most episodes are grouped together, but for example, the Chicago 8 “series” only has episode 3 published? Come on guys. Other than that complaint, love all your work!

I have never ever listened or read something truthful and terrified. Right now, we have World War 3 which we had before but the treat and weapon are different. Everything comes from scientific approach for powerful only money oriented capitalism. It’s wrong.

Good summary of the Cold War from the perspective of America. The historian who wrote this series is quite the Reagan fan and Carter critic. Every historian will bring his/her bias to the narrative, but this narrative was as good as they come and very easy for the casual history fan to listen to.

I loved learning about the story behind the Vietnam Memorial. Maya Lin deserves a much more renown place in our classroom history books! The host reads in a way tjat engages me, and the sound effects and personal perspective of its various "actors" bring the story to life!
