  • Determining Our Identity
    Nov 5 2024

Many identify themselves based on race, gender, nationality, or their occupation. But as Christ-followers, the allegiance of our lives is to Jesus—and that’s where our identity should rest. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what it means to identify as a Christian. He walks through three questions about the defining factors of Jewish, American, and Christian identities, and he pulls from the New Testament to show how the fruit of our lives—our actions, behaviors, and motives—indicate our true identity and spiritual maturity. Pastor Allen looks at current events through a biblical lens to analyze the role the Church plays in culture and whether the fruit of a faith-filled people is evident in our nation today.

  • #597: What Are You Afraid Of?
    Nov 1 2024

Rejecting God has brought tremendous suffering in our nation. But where does this rejection stem from? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the fear of God—holding a high respect for the Lord that ultimately affects your thoughts, desires, and behaviors. Pastor Allen teaches from Scripture to demonstrate the link between respecting God’s authority and receiving His blessings. In our culture today, it’s unpopular to live with a fear of God, and we see that impact our personal choices surrounding topics like money, sex, power, and our children. Fearing God is a learned response that grows as we pursue and honor Him.

  • #596: Unafraid...With Courage
    Oct 30 2024

We may think the antidote to fear is courage, but that’s not the case—the remedy for our fears is trust in God. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the Church’s need to stand for our faith. In this tumultuous world, it’s more important than ever that our foundation is in Jesus. Pastor Allen draws from passages throughout the Old and New Testaments, illustrating the differences between healthy and unhealthy fear. He shows how we can have courage through Jesus to address current issues in our communities—like the economy, marriage, and our schools—from a biblical perspective. God is shaking the earth, but He’s revealing the things that cannot be shaken: His Kingdom, His power, and His authority.

Solid truth

Pastor Jackson has been like a general through these turbulent times. Illuminating the path through the disorienting times we are living in with the solid truth of God's word. He speaks with the earnestness of a father, the kindness of a friend and the humor of a brother. He preaches from a small/big town in Middle TN, but weaves the history and culture of Isreal into his messages from the time he spent studying there. You won't be disappointed by the time you spend being encouraged by the overflow of wisdom from a man who's evidently spent time with the Father. Be blessed!
