This chapter in Women Who Run With the Wolves i swear must have been read before the making of Agatha All Along. Some crazy ass synchronicities happened the last 2 months. I was finishing my book and after seeing a few episodes of Agatha, I opened my book to a chapter with the words “Initiation in the Underground Forest” in the title… WHAT. And from there it was your classic nerd black hole meets obsessive research meets a talker.

We’re taught that our worthiness is directly tied to accomplishment. Simply that’s not true. We are enough, we are worthy just by existing. I need these reminders often, so I took the liberty of guessing others needed to hear this message too. Thanks for being here.

What to teach kids can become a verrrry touchy subject. Let me just say, I am not a mother but I am both an auntie and a woman who grew up being told to be a “good little girl” and to say Yes, to be amiable…it came back to bite me. In this episode I share a thought from an article that changed my way of interacting with kids. That forced turn-taking or forced sharing may be the reason some of us serial people-pleasers turned out the way we did. I share psychological research on autonomy in kids and my own experience.
