Fienstiem on the Coast is not universally loved
On the Umpire series you discuss Finestien
I am sure he has done very well in many disputes for the most fair settlement. This is an exception.
I am a resident on the Gulf Coast but filed no claim since I was away over that period
Watched the compensation proceedings with interest since many friends were involved
1. BP in all it's horror did a fairer job of compensating victims before the government took over
2. Outside of the 5K payout the victims left waited, refiled, were told lies of how much and when they were paid. Some when bankrupt.
3. For a short time prior to the 2012 mid terms the compansation settlements were moving
After those elections they stopped again
4. Some people never got settled or they were denied after years of waiting.
Fienstein may have done very well elsewhere but we firmly believe politics and a greedy government was involved
Lesson. Get your own lawyer and if you win compensate him well.
The Podcast's overall premise of we need impartial umpires is extreemly true.
