Fascinating history for all Americans!

I was fascinated and gratified every minute to learn of the great achievements of the physician scientists of the NIH. Dr. Anthony Fauci was one of them, and still continues his great work for the health of all Americans. My husband would probably not be alive without the statin drugs that were developed by these scientists. Many other breakthroughs that affect all our lives were made, and many of these men received Nobel prizes. Of course, Alan Alda’s own enthusiasm and appreciation for his subject make listening a pure pleasure.

Very good and timely

This was a pleasant surprise when I was looking for free books. It worth paying for this one even if you don’t need to. Alan Alda narrated this with interviews, including several with Fauchi, who was one of the NIH guys involved

Great program

This is a great history of the NIH and how the VietNam war influenced the development of many medical issues we face today. Thanks.

Fantastic history

Very relevant. I had no clue of this program, much less that Dr. Fauci was a part. I would love to do more historical research. Alan Alda, as always, was a superb narrator.

Amazing!

This was incredible to hear the history of the NIH and the “Yellow Berets”. These doctors truly had compassion for their patients and worked to save their lives. I enjoyed this very much.
