87. Are Premier League referees corrupt? | Season 24/25, Episode 14

  • Summary

  • Welcome to a session of catharsis as we spend the first 20 minutes of this week's episode letting our frustration out at Michael Oliver's decision to send off Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly against Wolves last Saturday. After discussing the decision and the tackle itself, we move on to the question of if there is an issue of corruption amongst Premier League referees, or if the problem is just one of incompetence.

Once we have worked through our anger, we move on to discuss the penalty Everton won against Brighton at the weekend, Robert Sanchez's struggles in goal for Chelsea, and the Manchester United board's letter to fans that the club is at risk of a PSR breach. We round off the episode by giving our views on another difficult day for Ange Postecoglou after his side suffered defeat at home to Leicester, and if the new Champions League format has so far been a success.
