  • What does it mean to carry power responsibly? And what does grounded power look like? In this episode, I explore the 9 of Wands and its relationship to struggle. A card of resilience, grit, determination, and courage, this card evokes the image of the warrior — a traditional depiction of power. It’s visceral and intense. But like fire itself, power can become dangerous and contagious when unchecked, burning out of control and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Ethically wielding power means rooting in compassion and grounding ourselves. It’s like having water nearby, and constructing a fire pit out of rocks to contain the flames before we strike the match. Those measures allow us to burn safely, and to harness the creative power seeded our sacred rage.
