    This week's guest: Paul Carcaterra graduated from Syracuse University. He was a four-year letter winner for the men’s lacrosse team and a member of 1995 national title team as well as named a 1997 All-American. He went on to be a professional lacrosse athlete playing for the New Jersey Pride. He began his sports broadcasting career with CBS College Sports as an analyst and web site contributor from 2005-2009. In 2009 he joined ESPN as a lacrosse game analyst and sideline reporter. He has become a staple of ESPN lacrosse both for his coverages of the most popular games on TV and his behind the scenes features. Along with his fame for lacrosse coverage he can also be seen on college football sideline reporting on top ESPN broadcasts. He is a contributor to Inside Lacrosse Magazine and is president of No Limit Lacrosse. This podcast is a part of Athletic Career Consulting (www.athcareer.com). A graduate of UConn she interned with the New York Islanders, St. John’s University and UConn Athletics. She then went on to be a Marketing Coordinator with Syracuse Athletics being the contact for men’s basketball and was the on-field director for football promotions. She has returned to UConn as the Assistant Director of Marketing & Digital Media serving as the primary contact for women’s basketball, softball, women's soccer, and cross country/track and field.   • 5Tips & Tricks: Executive Director of Bowl Season- Nick Carparelli

    This week's guest: Nick Carparelli has become synonymous with football. He started his career as a graduate assistant at Syracuse, where he helped the Orange to a win against Colorado in the 1993 Fiesta Bowl. He would then go on to Notre Dame as a football administrator where he coordinated all recruiting efforts, created travel and gameday itineraries and oversaw NCAA football compliance matters. After Notre Dame he went on to become Director of Operations for the New England Patriots during the team’s first Super Bowl championship season. Following his time with the Patriots he became Senior Associate Commissioner for the Big East Conference. He served as the conference’s primary football administrator, overseeing operations, officiating, bowl relationships, television and scheduling. From the Big East he went to Under Armour as Senior Director of College Sports leading the brand’s collegiate sports marketing efforts. Currently he serves as Executive Director of Bowl Season, a position he has held since 2019. In his role he leads an organization that is responsible for the coordination and tradition of the college football bowl system.
