#20: Trauma Talks Ep.2 - Keep the Body Warm for Momma (Eric Townsend)

  • Summary

  • 5 Stone Trauma Talks- Stories from the FRONTLINE:

This is hard to even post, but hopefully it will help others.... We are here to help others. Please reach out to your frontline workers. Hopefully my struggles will help others seek help and learn to adapt and overcome.

FRONTLINE WORKERS: You are not in the fight alone! We are here to help!

Holidays are often difficult for frontline workers. Please reach out to them and show your support, especially during these recent hard times in Kentucky and across the country!

We do not share these tragic stories for attention or to gain sympathy. We share them to raise awareness of the need for frontline worker recurrent stress adaptation/ management/ interventions. We share them to let other frontline workers know that they are not alone! We are there with them in the trenches carrying the burdens of others. There is help!

If you are suffering and need assistance, PLEASE reach out!

The stories told in this series are very hard to re-live, but real life stories that we feel need to be told to bring awareness to a much bigger problem... Recurrent Traumatic Stress that is unaddressed in today's society.

RECURRENT TRAUMATIC STRESS ADAPTATION (TERM DERIVED BY 5 STONE) suffered by the frontline.

For us (the daily frontline worker), there is no POST Traumatic Stress. As frontline workers we are continually placed in traumatic high stress situations until we either retire or change careers. There is a HUGE need for awareness and intervention on this topic, and this is why we are bringing this series to the public. We want the public to relate to the ones that serve them daily, to understand what we and our families go through as we choose a live of service to others, and be a resource to those in need!
