  • We’re slipping back in time to 1999 again this week for our second edition of 1999 Week, and our fourth edition of People’s Choice week. These two films were the third and fourth most popular choices in our polls, and make for a really wonderful pairing. ‘Magnolia’ (1999) confused and tested us with its labyrinthine 24hr plot with inter-tangled, fractured narratives, and ‘Jawbreaker’ delighted with its unique pairing of dark and camp. Both of these films SCREAM the 90s, and honestly, we couldn’t be happier. Pull up an inflatable couch, pop out a jawbreaker (or gobstopper, if your Strayan), shut the f*#k up, and don't call me lady!
