Twenty-five-year-old fitness-instructor Elle has been toiling away in the LA rat race since her teen years with nothing to show for it but a “vintage” apartment (with a permanently clogged toilet), an “alt-comedy” (unemployed alcoholic) boyfriend, and an anorexic coworker who’s constantly surpassing Elle at work because her dad owns the place. While Elle might not have a rich daddy to fall back on, her luck changes when she finds herself being aggressively pursued by a hot, rich 45-year-old man, a.k.a. a zaddy.

Zack is a tech millionaire many times over with an irresistible smirk and abs that could shatter your phone screen. After Elle flirts with Zack on his buddy’s yacht, it feels like every area of her life has a glow-up. Literally. Her skin is glistening, she’s madly in love with her well-connected, smoking-hot boyfriend, and soon enough, she’s opening her very own fitness studio for A-list clientele. But when mysterious tragedies strike, Elle is forced to wonder if she can truly afford the good life or if the cost is too rich for her blood after all.

About the Creator and Performer

Sarah Ramos is an actress, writer, director, and producer. After her breakout role playing Haddie Braverman on NBC’s Parenthood, she is currently starring as Cheryl Pistono, girlfriend to Kareem Abdul Jabbar, on Adam McKay’s upcoming HBO series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty and just wrapped Damien Chazelle’s Babylon for Paramount opposite Margot Robbie and Jean Smart. As a filmmaker, Sarah co-wrote and directed her first short film, The Arm, which won the Short Film Special Jury Prize at Sundance in 2012. Since then, Ramos has directed and starred in her short Fluffy opposite Max Minghella, created, directed,and starred in the romantic comedy webseries City Girl based on a screenplay she wrote when she was 12, and recently directed an episode of the docuseries Marvel’s 616 entitled "Unboxed" on Disney+. During the pandemic, Sarah garnered much attention for her Instagram series "Quaranscenes," in which she recreated and directed iconic scenes from film andTV. She also created, produced,and hosted the comedic investigatory podcast The Renner Files with Caroline Goldfarb, which explores the rise and fall of Jeremy Renner’s ill-fated app.

About the Performer

Chris Messina can most recently be seen opposite Rosamund Pike in the Netflix feature I Care a Lot, which premiered at TIFF 2020 and was one of Netflix’s most viewed original titles of this year. Messina also recently appeared in the indie She Dies Tomorrow, directed by Amy Seimetz and in the third season of the critically acclaimed USA anthology series THE SINNER with Matt Bomer and Bill Pullman. Elsewhere in the feature space, he starred opposite Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor in the Warner Bros. film Birds of Prey. He recently wrapped the independent feature Call Jane opposite Sigourney Weaver and Elizabeth Banks and directed by Oscar nominee Phyllis Nagy, which premiered at Sundance 2022, and a role opposite Julia Roberts and Sean Penn in the upcoming Starz limited series Gaslit. He also filmed the indie Dreamin’ Wild directed by Bill Pohlad, with Casey Affleck, Beau Bridges, andNoah Jupe, and I.S.S, directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite./n/nPreviously, Messina played detective Richard Willis in Jean-Marc Vallée’s HBO Emmy-nominated limited series Sharp Objects opposite Amy Adams, and prior to that, he spent six years alongside Mindy Kaling in The Mindy Project. Additional credits include Live By Night opposite Ben Affleck, Gia Coppola’s Palo Alto, David Gordon Green’s Manglehorn with Al Pacino, and Argo, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture of2012. He also starred with Glenn Close and Rose Byrne in Damages for FX. In 2003, Messina made his Broadway debut in Oscar Wilde’s Salome at the Ethel Barrymore Theater./n/nHe is currently filming the lead role in 20thCentury Studios upcoming film The Boogeyman, based on the famed Stephen King short story.

I love how Sarah’s mind works. She is able to give an insightful view into the horrors of LA through the vehicles of satire, wit, and empathy. Loved her and Chris Messina’s acting!

I liked that this story was short and quick moving. The main character was not likeable, though. I did think the parts about the barre classes were funny (I'm a barre instructor, so I'm biased). The way the girl was talking about Emo music, though... I guess I'll start shopping for my coffin. Overall, this one was okay, but I probably wouldn't recommend it.

I don't know anything about fashion or a la. so it's kind of annoying at first. but I'm not going to let you kind of suck me in. the slightly pornographic sex scenes were pretty fun too. and I did enjoy the ending.
