As a kindergarten teacher, I’m always looking for engaging ways to teach important habits like brushing teeth—and this book nailed it. The colorful character of Zack and his journey of self-awareness kept my students interested the whole time. They loved acting out the brushing part with their imaginary toothbrushes! The included lyrics are great for interactive reading time. Definitely a book I’ll return to every year.

My 5-year-old absolutely loved this book! Zackity Zack the Cat is such a fun and relatable character. The story cleverly weaves in the importance of brushing teeth without sounding preachy. As a parent, I appreciated the subtle way it encourages empathy too—Zack learns not to tease his friends, which opened up a great conversation with my child. The lyrics at the end were a nice bonus—we even made up a silly song together!
