My dad has been the coach of the Charleston Coyotes for as long as I can remember. All the time I've spent in ice rinks has taught me two things: 1. I will NEVER date a hockey player. As a single mom, it's not like I have time for romance anyway. 2. Nothing smells worse than hockey players after a game. And I work as a dog groomer, so I have experience with smelly animals. Sweet and steamy start to the series!
Well, I’m packing my bags and finding a ranch to live on. “Yours to Take” is a sweet, steamy and amazing start to the “Dixon Creek Ranch” series and I’m already counting down the days until the next book.
Blake Travers has been involved in Hollywood his whole life since his mother is a famous movie star. When he’s in a rut and uninspired to write his next screenplay, he takes a much needed vacation in Idaho at the Dixon Creek Ranch. There he meets Gemma Winchester, granddaughter of the owner. Gemma has been on the ranch her whole life and wants to help run it one day. The two are from completely different worlds but have a connection neither can deny.
Oh my gosh. I loved Blake and Gemma right from the start. I connected with both and loved their story. Blake is an adorable fish out of water and I loved reading about him figuring out ranch life and his newest screenplay. Gemma is so genuine and kind and someone I’d want to be friends with in real life. I could feel their attraction as I read and could not get enough, so much that I finished this book in one sitting. All of Gemma’s siblings were amazing and I cannot wait for their books. The little hints we got have me anxiously waiting for the next book.
Aaron Sherlock and Emma Wilder were the perfect choices to bring Blake and Gemma to life. Emma brought Gemma’s kind and genuine personality to life perfectly. And I’m always happy to hear Aaron portray a swoony and amazing guy like Blake. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of this series when it’s released.
