About this listen

1976 New Year's Eve, San Francisco. A Firebird transports a crew of glitter kids away from the city. Forget the trunk full of cash and illegal firearms. Forget the disco heist and sea of felonies left in their wake. They are five friends happily rolling down thunder road with no horizon in sight. They are Young Americans.

Fun story with nice characters.

Would you consider the audio edition of Young Americans to be better than the print version?

I only listened to the audio book.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I was captured by the story. The characters were always one step away from danger.

What about Em Eldridge’s performance did you like?

I liked the different voices she gave each character. I would always know who was talking just by listening.

Josh is one of my favorite authors

This 70's crime fiction is off the hook! welcome to the wild glam rock days of Bowie, drugs and bellbottomes.

This noir as hell novel kicks butt and takes name with super strong female characters.

Fresh story, narrator almost up to the hype!

Gr at, fresh story. Em Eldridge did a good job creating unique voices todifferentiate the characters. However, her speech mannerisms can be grating (particularly during certain stretches of a character contemplating), and the producer might want to correct glaring mispronunciations, eg Alpha RO-meo??
