About this listen

This is a companion novella to Yellowstone Redemption

Chase Russell knows where he belongs. Both his heart and his mind will forever be with the woman he loves. Before he settles down, he must prove to himself that, despite being a novice time traveler from the 21st century, he can make it on his own in the Yellowstone wilderness of 1835.

Confident he will learn everything he needs to know from his trusted companion Elk Runner, Chase is surprised to discover through a vision that it is actually others who put their confidence in him. When he is abruptly left completely isolated in an unfamiliar vastness, he must dig deep within himself to find what it takes to survive and return to Sarah, his only reason for living.

Excellent narrator and story!

If you are obsessed with the Yellowstone Romance series like I am, then you will love this extra story that goes along with Yellowstone Redemption and features Chase (and Sarah). I really like Chase and I thought the narrator from the first book was perfect for him. He is the narrator for this book, too, and once again portrays Chase perfectly!
If Yellowstone Redemption left you wondering what happened to Chase on his journey, now you find out. This is a story that leaves you feeling good when it's over even though it goes by fast and you're sad to leave 1800's Yellowstone.
This is a series that can be read over and over again, enjoying it more and more every time as you pick up things you maybe missed the first time.
This is one of those audiobooks where, when you listen to it in the car, you get to your destination and you don't want to get out!

Chase and Sarah

As a follow up to Yellowstone Redemtion, this novella provided more insight to Chase and Sarah's storyline, as well as revisiting many other participants in the series.
I was provided with a free audible code for this story and while I enjoyed the story, the narrator was just not my personal preference and found it not holding my interest as perhaps the printed version would have so therefore my 4 star rating.

Chase Russell grows up

Chace Russell really grows up in this novella. He starts off really thinking of himself as a lowlife, worthless human. But his experiences and friendships are wonderful.

This novella was well written and consistent with the novel Yellowstone Redemption.

The narrator talks a little fast for me so I slowed it down to 90% and that was perfect.

I would highly recommend this series. Peggy L Henderson is a really good writer. I'm always so invested in her characters.

Chase's Missing Time

A great story of the time period when Chase left with Running Elk to have his "vision". Of course anytime that Running Elk is involved, it doesn't quite go as planned. Fortunately, Chase forges his own path through the wilderness and back to his one true love, Sarah. That is, if her father and brothers allow him to live! This is a wonderful story of a young man wanting to prove to himself and to others that he can take care of his wife and future children, in a time in which he was not born. Great addition to the series.

Another great story in the Yellowstone Series

This book fills in what had happened to Chase when he left Sarah to find himself. His quest revealed his need to find his place in Sarah's world and while doing so, Chase becomes a man. Nick Sarando narrated the story and it felt like I was sitting and listening to Chase himself. There is one part I thought was funny especially the way the story was told. It was when Daniel found out Chase had slept with Sarah before they were married. Oh boy. I wouldn't have wanted to be Chase. This is a great story to add to the collection of the Yellowstone Series. I really loved the story.

New Life Awakening

This book by Peggy Henderson was a wonderful work of art. I just love how Peggy can make the reader feel the struggles both disappointment and hopelessness as Chase tries the survive in this new (old) world of Yellowstone wilderness. We see Chases growth through his struggles all for the love of his life. Nick Sarando does a great job narrating this story and I would suggest this wonderful novella to everyone who enjoys time travel, romance, and adventure. Never a dull moment listening to this book.

Yellowstone Reflections

This is a wonderful addition to the series. I have always been curious about what Chase Russell went through while he was separated from Sarah. I loved finding out.

Love this novella that enhances the bigger story!

Warning: This review may inadvertently have a spoiler or two if you have not read Yellowstone Redemption.

If you have read Yellowstone Redemption of the Yellowstone Romance series by Peggy L. Henderson, you more than likely loved it, but had one question: What happened to Chase in his six month disappearance. This is the novella that gives the "gap story" of Chases journey of the inner turmoil he has to face and people he encounters to help him decided whether to return or move on. This is a GREAT story!

Peggy did an excellent job with this novella! It is the story that many of her fans have asked her to write and we are so happy that she did! Nick Sarando did an EXCELLENT job! He did Chases story a few years ago and reprised Chase in this book. Nick's storytelling made me feel like I was sitting before a fire listening to Chase tell his story. Nick's pacing, characters and narrative were all excellent! I hope he will do a few more of Peggy's work!

Chase Russell is back!

Another good book (novella) by Peggy L Henderson which fills in the blanks from previous books of the character Chase Russell's adventures. The narration was great an easy to listen to!

While I normally don't care for novellas (because I love good long books that really get in depth with the characters) this was an exception since it was a character that I already knew and loved from previous books in the series.

Loved Chase's journey. Peggy is great at bringing her characters to life. Narrator really captures Chase's personality.
