Traveling north should have been easy. We would just follow the map and end up at our new destination—our new home in a new state, where my daughter, Lark, and I could start fresh. How does that quote go about the best laid plans?
Getting lost is where our story begins. Not only did we get lost and spin off the road, we were also stalked by a moose, and our pet skunk, Cooper, darted out, ready to tackle said moose into oblivion.
Fate, however, had different plans in the form of a flannel wearing knight named Arlo. I get the feeling this big, grumpy bear is all soft edges on the inside.
Who knew that small detour would land us right where we needed to end up?
