Publisher's summary

Sera Thomas has more than the FBI in her life now and nothing reminds her of that more than almost losing the man she loves. Sometimes the focus has to be on her personal life and the pack or she could lose all she’s built and treasures. And she’s not about to allow that. Which means working things out with Brian while he travels and learns what he needs to. It’s going to take work getting him acclimated to the pack and introducing him to the supe world as a wolf, not a human who visits. But she’s willing to fight for their love if he is, and that’s a huge step for her. To her surprise, she also makes emotional progress to overcome her abusive upbringing. Everything’s a delicate dance though, as there are also the dominance fights that are coming up for several of her packs… And a huge problem with one of them. Oh, and she’s gotta fight as well. At least everyone’s happy to celebrate Topher’s first Christmas and surviving another year. The full moon falls on the holiday—also Sera’s birthday—and massive festivities are planned. Right, because who doesn’t love turning thirty? Seraphine Thomas is a crime series filled with Chicago attitude and a strong heroine that pushes what most would think a female lead capable of, along with the heat being involved with several men brings while trying to figure out what she wants.

5 A Bringer Of Deserved Justice Stars

Woman in Demand is a novella in the Seraphine Thomas series by Erin R. Flynn.

I like that this book ironed out a lot of her relationship troubles, for multiple men in her life. I especially enjoyed that moment with Topher where we discovered who he considers his favorites, basically. But the moments with multiple people in her life outlining their love for her, and her being able to confront what was individually holding her back helped to cement certain characters longevity.

I think it's interesting that there was talk of her potentially becoming the Alpha Queen of the US. Which is honestly my preferred structure for supernatural shifter society. I think it makes far more sense when there are leading Shifters for each country, over the state Shifters. It would make far more sense for the Shufter Council to be made up of Shifters who continue to prove their power and commitment to supernatural humans by holding their pack. I honestly don't even know where these new shifter councilman are elected from? Are there just back up councilman hanging around? It doesn't appear that they do anything outside of Council work, which I would love to have explained further.

Dain, Hagan, Brian, Reagan, Axel, And Eugene are the core group of her lovers. I know that Noah and Carter are up there as well, but at least for this point in their relationships they have cemented their concrete future. Maybe Carter has shown his interest in the eventuality of them being more, but he's not there yet.

I love how she has so many powerful women around her, to help support her. I think all that's missing is a powerful Vampire Councilwoman. I love Haton, Nina, Eva, Alena, and now even Melicent. And Simone is definitely in the powerful woman rankings for this series. I'm excited to see what Ashley is capable of, because she has potential. This also makes me hope that Sera has another child... A girl, because her brothers and Topher make enough male family members in her life, but I think a girl heir would really cap this story as complete
