Boring

It might have been interesting if I had not read the Whistler first. I already knew everything that had happened.

Prequel to The Whistler

Too short, less than an hour. Not worth 1 credit. Should be combined wit main book.

Stunning as always!

Grisham has again spun great fiction out of realistic, deeply detailed conspiracy. This novel prequel adds emphasis on the criminal injustice of ruining individuals, families and community of an already misunderstood, almost ravaged and greatly persecuted group for the benefit of some conniving, soulless, and immoral persons in our world. JOhn Grisham does more that write great books; he has a point and provokes thought...every time on varied topics....I've read them all!

Disappointing

It was very short, and I thought it was a full novel, but it was just a short story...

You need Both!

Witness to a Trial does not make sense until you start the book The Whistler. After the first chapter of the Whistler, then you WANT to go back to read again Witness to a Trial. Why wouldn't this book be the Prelude to the Whistler instead of being sold separately? $$$$$

Whets your appetite for the twists and turns of the Whistler

Great story, characters seem to materialize out of thin air in the mind of Grisham. They arrive complete and well grounded in their part of the story. He always seems to have a character efficiency, not too many, not too few…. Masterful story assignment to each of them.

More meat

I enjoyed this story, but I just felt like it didn’t have enough meat to it. It was sort of missing that little bit of extra!
