Amazing!

Fantastic story and characters. The twists kept me hooked from start to finish. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Great Story

This was a great read/listen that kept me interested from start to finish! The narration was great and I can not wait for the next in the series. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Refreshingly Real

I enjoyed Witness. The story has everything I look for in a good listen. Believable Romance, good mystery and likable main characters. The narrator did a great job with the exception of the male leads voice. I definitely will be listening to more of Rebecca Deel’s books.

Very good narration and story

The story is excellent - great characters, great suspense, and lovely romance. The audio is very smooth and expressive. The depiction of Blackhawk's voice didn't quite fit for me at first, but I got used to it. I love this! I have listened to it 4 or 5 times now.

Disappointed in the person reader

I hate when the reader try’s to change their voice for every character, especially when it’s not consistent. I wish I had just read the book myself instead on listening to it. I enjoyed the story line.

Mystery, sexual tension, masterfully put together. Rebecca Deel is a master at creating suspense.

Sometimes small town life can be deadly...

Ethan Blackhawk has just been hired as the police chief in small town TN...life should be a lot more laid back than in LV, right? That is until a rash of break-ins occurs. Serena Cahill is a small town girl trying to get her fledgling personal chef business off the ground. She arrives in time to witness a possible break-in at one of her clients and meets the new police chief. Ethan is intrigued by the petite blond w the aversion to the sight of blood...seriously, she pukes at the sight of blood!!! The deeper that Ethan looks into the break-ins, the more the evidence seems to point to Serena...after all, the victims are all her clients! This is not just a small town romance story...there is a contract killer on the loose, someone trying to frame Serena for crimes, jealous woman and meddling sisters. An engaging story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Loved the HEA. Glad that I tried this new-to-me author! Now I need to read more of the Otter Creek series and its quirky residents.

Enjoyable romantic mystery

Witness has all the qualities of a good romantic cozy mystery.

Rebecca Deel brings the small town of Otter Creek to life with realistic and quirky characters,
and humor too.

Serena Cahill, personal chef and errand runner, inadvertently walks into a robbery in progress. Finding her client beaten on the floor of his vandalized home, Serena sees the man responsible when the cops come. As the only witness to the crime, Ethan Blackhawk, the police chief of Otter Creek, sets out to protect Serena from an international hit man and the mob and finds himself falling in love with her.

Kristina Fuller Yuen does a great job narrating this book. She has an easy listening voice and gets the right tone to most of the characters and story nuances. If I have any criticism, it would be the variations of her male voices which could be stronger.

I like that this is a sweet romance with no swearing or sex scenes in it. I look forward to reading and listening to more books by both Rebecca Deel and Kristina Fuller Yuen.

Love this author

Ms Deel is a new author for me. The story line was great but narrator gave a poor performance. Will look for other books by this author.
