He should read for a living

My wife loved Korn when we were teens, and as devoted followers of Christ, found Heads conversion intriguing. I bought this to listen with her while on prolonged family drives, expecting it to be another example of me forcing her to listen to something edifying, but man was I wrong. The narration alone made this a joy to listen to, with Head doing a downright charming job of impersonating the various persons who color his story and life. In the end, this is a book that will inspire, encourage, entertain, and give hope. As an adult it is easy to feel that the younger people who still listen to "darker" music and the people who play it for them are far from God's love. The story of Brian Head Welch reminds us that there is nowhere God is not actively loving people, and no one he can't redeem and use for His ultimate glory.

Awesome!

I bought this book to actually share it with my cousin who is a Korn fan and it ended up blessing me. I'm so inspired by his love for the Lord and his transparency in light of mistakes, bad decisions, and personal flaws and the humor and humbleness with which he relates it. Also, the story of the relationship with his daughter touched me too being a father of a 12 yr old daughter. This is an awesome book and now I'm going to check out his first book!

If you're debating it. Stop and just get it

Really loved the honesty and the openess Head puts forth in both of his books. I also loved hearing him read it. Really worth every cent.

Powerful

Wow. To hear Brian telling his story, as someone who has been abused, been an abuser, now a parent & still metal scene lover, was powerful. Jesus is good, & REAL. I hope that more people read this to hear his heart & the King Brian let sit on it.

This was an amazing book about addiction, hardships, recovery and finding God. I love Brian "Head" Welch! His daughter is truly amazing as well.
