Not bad but..

The MC has completely stopped caring about getting skills and points to make him stronger. Even after a rival shows up he still isn’t trying to get skills or anything… kind of annoying. Why isn’t he trying to get more skills? Why does he just not care about points anymore? Doesn’t make a lot of sense. I feel like the author is purposely slowing things down with no actual storyline reason. Just because he wants to.

not bad yet way too much teen romance

I enjoy this story yet it has drifted away from its original premise into a story about an unmotivated boy who can't go 10 second without needing his girlfriend to make every decision for him.

Still very good but 2 complaints

First off I have loved the setting and power system of the series from the beginning and that is arguably my main reason for listening to it. However, my 2 complaints for this book are the mc seems to mostly have stopped thinking (exceptwhen it comes to contracts) and 2nd the book is too short for its pacing which makes it only really have 1 even occur

Good but a bit overly complicated and too much mushy teenage romance

Overall it's good but not as good as the other books in this series. I'm hoping this is just a building book to something much more interesting. The teenage lovey nonsense is bad. The story seems forcibly complicated without any real reason or reward. Giving it 4 stars in hopes the next book makes up for this one. If the other books had not been as good as they were I would be dropping this series. The ending does wrap things up nicely so there is that.

This book was a slog for me

I’ve been trying to stick with this book hoping it would get better and more interesting. It hasn’t. I had to boost the reading speed to 2.5 to 3.0. The story didn’t draw me in and the wish mechanics was lack luster to me. Sorry but Neil isn’t my favorite narrator either. He does a good job reading the story - He is clear and concise. He just doesn’t bring the story to life like some of the other narrators. I don’t want to say he’s monotone, but he isn’t far off. I really wanted to like this story, but I think my journey ends here with this book.
I wouldn’t recommend this book, but I’m sure there will be those who will love it. So, if you fancy the idea of the story then give it a chance.

dear god

I have been trying to over look little things because the story is cool. stop the dumbass bs with the girlfriend please I beg you. a third of the book was Iove you oh we talk about everything oh I love you oh we should talk more about our feelings. also the name is wish master. so for the gods go back to the wishes and growing and not as much got in a long fight that takes a few minutes and yet we have to listen to inner thoughts that are dumb. like really grow up kill if you have to don't if you don't. what ever he decides we have heard to much debate about it. sorry it has been 2 books of this and the story has not moved the whole time. your work is great just go back to the basic please

For a book series about wishes...

There doesn't seem to be much wishes going on. he gets 15 wishes a day and most if not all of them are glossed over. the problem with the premise of the power is that any minor to major inconvenience can be fixed if his friends used the wishes effectively. "I wish I knew who's behind the secret take over" "I wish I had a way to know how recusion is affecting me"

my other major issue is the cringe romance stuff going on throughout the book. It feels like everything but their relationship is glossed over. I know that isn't entirely accurate cause some stuff was going on. it was just wildly distracting
