About this listen

Now that the overbearing men in her family are gone, Ailis Davidson sees the chance to right her family’s many wrongs and bring peace to the valley she loves. The only problem is that someone wants her dead. Ranald Macqueen has lived his life brandishing a sword for others. Now on the eve of his greatest triumph, serving as guard for his king, a wee fairy of a woman has interrupted those plans with the need of his protection.

As Ailis and Ranald fight against an unknown enemy, they are drawn together by a powerful connection. A love that promises something greater than either of them has ever imagined. But before they can have a chance at true happiness—they have to survive.

Winters Kiss

Enjoyed this novella. Dee narrated the piece herself. I am sure she wanted to experience her work in all facets. I slowed the track to 8.5. The speed was rushed by the reader. The characters were introduced in the series in the first book and were well known to the audience; This continued their storyline.Well written. Short story but sweet. Practice makes perfect in narrative, slow down and enjoy your content. Great writing, narrative needs work.

Performance was not engaging

This is my second book by the same author and both readers have failed to gain my interest into the story.

Great interlude between stories

Not much about time travel and possibly more elaboration about the knight and the lady in the crypt would have been a nice touch. Short and Sweet

Not worth the time or money

The story starts off with yet another attempted sexual assault of the lead character, as if that is the main theme for all females in the story line. The first book was ok, but this one is terrible. The narration was so bad and so fast that it was painful to endure. I know the author was the narrator, but the pace was way too fast and she rarely altered her voice. Very disappointing.
