The Winter Series Book One by Alex Callister was a great audio book! With a tag line of "GCHQ agent Winter has just 14 days to bring down the website of a formidable criminal organisation before a teenager is tortured to death in front of an online audience of millions." I was interested right from the first time I read the summary. However I really loved how Winter went undercover for her investigation it really added to the suspense of the plot!

Fast paced and full of twists and turns

Loved it! Winter is hard core the Snow White takes it up to a whole new level of intensity

A great book and an amazing narrator!

4.55/5 Stars! I really enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing till the end. I was hooked from chapter one. I didn't want it to end, and yet I couldn't consume it fast enough. The only part I was not always enjoying is the amount of fights that Winter had to go through till the end. Yet that is how life is sometimes, we have to fight and scrap our lives to get to a place of contentment. She's not the typical spy, but I can't wait for the next installment, and I hope it either becomes a movie or a miniseries. Ell's narration: 5.5/5 stars! Ell's voice was perfect, and I can see why shes's a rising star!!! I will listen to more of her!!! I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. Great story Great Listen

I listen to audible books while driving long distance, as I was coming to my destination I stayed in the car to listen a bit more. I cant wait until the next book comes out. The narrator was perfect.

Worked for me!

Unlike a few of the recent reviews I thought this book was well paced and consistent throughout. I didn’t skip any chapters or start paying at a higher rate, which is something I find myself doing about half the time.

Excellent Thriller

Definitely one of the more thrilling books I've listened to in my library. The narrator has your attention the whole time. You'll want to keep the story going by the end.

Started strong, then became nonsensical

Don’t get me wrong, I like those summer beach reads. I enjoy the old read it and toss it books. This book started strong and I wanted to prove the negative reviews wrong — that they just didn’t appreciate the “junk food” nature of this type of book. But alas. Half way through I couldn’t even pay attention anymore. It became stupid and nonsensical. There wasn’t even a story half way through. Just mental thoughts of the lead character. I think what messed this book up was that it was hyped up so intensely on the Audible cover page. I wanted to like it. And in the end I gave it 3 stars even though my hearts saying a 2 or even a 1.

Strong female protagonist

Clever and soulful with a kickass main character who happens... to be a women. It’s sexy in a way that makes it fun; and paced so that we can all take in how messy action heroism can be. Loved it and especially loved the narrator!
