About this listen

From Amazon best-selling author S. M. Stryker comes an emotionally riveting stand-alone romance.

Who would have thought a chance encounter would bring two strangers together that shared the same precious possession?

An inspiring story about life and love and the unforeseen powers that pulled two strangers together after loss.

She was his butterfly, a chance encounter. Little did they know just how much they shared with each other.

Emmy had lost not only her parents in a tragic accident but the treasured gift that her father gave to her on her 20th birthday.

She was good at her job but wanted more. She wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps and was out to show the world that she could.

Delaney Madison was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps as a renowned cardiologist. But when his best friend dies, it changes his purpose in life. He had made a vow to her, and he would do everything in his power to honor it, even if it got him disowned.

Then he met his butterfly.

They were pulled together by chance but stayed together by love.

The love of classic cars

In one evening and a medical emergency brought two together. Emma, an event planner, Delaney a eye doctor. Emma is not ready to open her heart, Delaney doesn't know if he can. Both have the same love of older classic cars. Will a big misunderstanding will destroy her love for him? Will she forgive him? I love the spark they have between them. The narration by Debbie Soelter was very good. She gave each character their own personality and voice. I enjoyed listening to this story. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

Wonderful Story Matched with Mediocre Narration

Wink was a wonderful book, but the narration wasn't the best. The cadence of the narrator really threw me off the book. I felt as though with some more preparation on Debbie Soelter's part this audiobook would have been amazing. Debbie Soelter has a wonderful voice and is really good at differentiating between characters, the only issue I personally had was her cadence, besides that great.

The story itself was an amazing read, that makes me wish fate would work her magic on me. Short and sweet is the best way to describe it. I personally enjoyed how the author went over the same scene from both points of view.

Emmy & Lane!

If you are looking for something short but entertaining, this is the book for you! Wink is a heartfelt story of two people, a chance meeting and coincidental circumstances! Emmy is an event planner who has a problem with her eye. Lane is an ophthalmologist who happens to be taken with her, and their story begins. Lane has a deep passion for his trade, and a loyalty to his best friend who passed away. To honor a promise they made to each other, he is planning an event to celebrate her life. Emmy is planning the event, but has not yet met the man she is planning it for. Emmy is great at her job, but it's not her passion. Together these two find each other, bringing out the happiness they deserve. I really loved the inclusion of the cars! Obsidian and Raven are amazing. It's fun, passionate, touching and I really enjoyed it.

Debbie Soelter is the narrator for this story. She is new to me, and though at times her pace was a little on the slow side, I enjoyed her voices and found her to have a great understanding of these two. She found their strengths, and played them perfectly with her inflections. A fun listen, this is one you don't want to miss.

Cute short story

This story could have really have been so deep and a tear jerker. But instead it’s a short story. Almost too short. So much is missing in this story.
Narration.... Debbie has an okay voice but it sound like she is reading like a robot. It is really annoying

Backwards

A true comedy of errors and misunderstandings. If Emmy would have had more info there wouldn't have been a story! Strange, bizarre, different, and backwards. but unique. Lane had 2 wonderful surprises for Emmy at the story's end. The narrator did a good job.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Lane💘Emmy🦋 Heartfelt!

This is my first S.M. Stryker book and will not be my last. She has a wonderful writing style, the storylines she created are interesting and captivated me from start to end. It is impressive how much story she fit into a novella sized book. It is a sweet and delightful story that has a whole lot of heart The characters are likable and easy to relate to. I adored Emmy and loved how she dealt with Derek in the prologue. She has suffered some heartbreaking losses and I admired her strength, how she got thru her grief, what she did with Raven and why. Delaney “Lane” Madison notices Emmy, when she bumps into him is drawn to her. Lane is a real sweetheart with a great demeanor, he also suffered a great loss and it changed his path in life but he is happy with what he does. A chance encounter brings these two together, they had something in common, a great and meaningful thing to Emmy so it may have been fate that brought them together. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment, there is drama, a bit of angst, a whole lot of emotions, heartfelt moments and hot ones too. S.M. Stryker thank you for this fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audile edition, Debbie Soelter does a nice job narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. You could hear how much heart she put into her work as she projected the characters emotions in to her performance. Thank you for the entertaining listen🎧
