About this listen

Gwen Lark, nerd, geek, and awkward smart girl, is among the lucky ones. She's one of several million teenage refugees to escape the extinction-level asteroid barreling toward Earth and reach the ancient colony planet of Atlantis.

But Atlantis is a strange new world with higher gravity and a blazing white sun, where nothing is as expected. The new arrivals from Earth will now belong to the majority class of noncitizens who face a lifetime of hard work and limited rights.

To make matters worse, Gwen's rare and powerful talent, her Logos voice, is viewed as a potential weapon to be exploited by the Imperator, as well as a threat to the Kassiopei Imperial Dynasty and its uncompromising control over the people of Atlantis.

A last-minute heartbreak prior to arrival turns to joy when Gwen receives a declaration of love from an unexpected source. The wedding date is set, but before she can be joined with her true love, she is forced to compete in the brutal and deadly Games of the Atlantis Grail to save herself, her family, friends, and everything she cares about. Once again, her intelligence, quick thinking skills, resilience, and creativity are challenged to the breaking point.

Not bad not bad better then the first book by far

I was caught up in this one. Way better then the first book. Not a waste of time at all. Wonderfully written and way more imaginative details

Author and Narrator

The author and narrator have combined to bring the greatness if the book to life. This not always the case, but is here. For example, the contrast of the character and personality of Arson and his father are stark and real. We adore the one and abhor the later.

Amazing

This book is just jaw dropping amazing. I loved the first 2 and the 3rd is no different! Ugh I really hope that Survive comes to Audio soon! I’m dying to listen to it also. The narrator is also amazing at all the different kinds of voices and accents. Definitely recommend author and narrator!

Win

I truly love this story because it takes from all of my favorite sci-fi fantasy genres. It's part dystopian, part space travel, part romance, adventure, magic, alternative history.... It has a bit of everything, but if I have to hear the words "lapis lazuli blue" "whaaaat/huh" or anybody pronouncing the SILENT G in the word ugh ever again I'm going to scream smh. The main character is lovable and highly intelligent but when it comes to common sense she's a bit short which can get annoying. Still, I'm looking forward to the next book and can't wait to see how it ends.

Awesome story!

Vera Nazarian is a wonderful writer and storyteller who has created a heroine girls everywhere can admire and be inspired by. Gwen isn’t perfect ; but shows a intellect and a basic goodness that finally is recognized. I’ve read all four books and now have listened to three audible versions and am looking forward to the last book; Survive; to be finished as an audible. Also would love to see these books in film. Read them all!

Fantastic 4 books

I’ve read all 4 books 4 times and listened to the Audiobooks over 20 times and loved this series. I’m drawn back to listening to the Atlantis Grail audiobooks time and time again. I’ve reread books before but never this many times.
I would enjoy further reading of Aeson and Gwen’s future exploits as Imperator and Imperatris if Atlanteda. As well as Gwen’s family.
And the Princess and their friends.

Loved it

I loved reading her books, and love hearing them come to life! Some voices are a stretch for the narrator, and Gwen sounds younger than I imagine her to be, but loved hearing it spoken out loud!

Great continuation

I’ve devoured this entire series. It was fun, fast paced, well read, different and yet engaging on every level.

Sure I found myself several times shaking my head at the immature decisions of a teen girl (Gwen) but that was from an outside perspective. Overall, I enjoyed the continuation of this story and the Lark family’s journey and found the entire thing drawing me in, always wanting to know what would happen next.

I give props to the narrator too, who does very well giving each character identity and weight.
