Not So Much

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The fact that it references Jack Daniels as a character. I had high expectations.

What could J. A. Konrath and Ann Voss Peterson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Have Susie Breck and Dick Hill narrate, for starters. The whole way it's presented was disappointing.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I prefer how the Jack Daniels books narrated by Susie Breck and Dick Hill bring the characters to life in books by Konrath ( /anybody else) - so my dislike is that it wasn't them. The narration was NOT "bad" - it just wasn't them.

Did Wild Night Is Calling inspire you to do anything?

Hope for a new Jack Daniels book - in the manner of the first JD series - fast!

Any additional comments?

Although it's fun to hear the author talk a bit about the premise, I wanted another JD book or for a new character to follow that I could enjoy - this wasn't satisfying to my hopes.

bad konrath, bad

Any additional comments?

As a Konrath fan I was disappointed by such a drab potrait of horror. For a short story it misses the mark on twists or turns. In the first 5 minutes you can pretty much tell the story yourself and I found myself calling this one from opening to ending credits. Konrath is better than this.
