About this listen

I went searching for trouble and I found it. I just didn’t expect to find it in the form of Cillian Gallagher.

The gorgeously tatted lead singer and guitarist of Wild Irish, Cillian is everything I’ve always tried to stay away from. He’s wild and dangerous. And exactly what I need to cross off number four on my bucket list.

Kiss a complete stranger.

It should have been that simple. But I wasn't prepared for the scorching heat that would ignite a passion, leaving us both gasping for air.

It was never meant to be more than a fling.

I didn’t expect that when I left Ireland, I’d be leaving a piece of my heart, or how our lives would be intertwined even when we were thousands of miles apart.

One last request.

One life-changing list.

One month of no regrets.

I ran from my boring, simple life, straight into the arms of trouble. The thing with trouble is that it has a way of finding you, no matter where you go.

Beautiful Story! I loved it!

Any additional comments?

I loved Cillian and Delaney's story. My heart broke for Delaney when I read about why she was in Ireland. Then I swooned when she met the brooding but caring and sexy Cillian. They both have suffered heartbreak and together they help each other to overcome it. I loved seeing Cillian and Delaney grow as individuals and as a couple. This was a beautifully emotional story to me.

I was really impressed with Kyle Maraglio reading of Wild Irish. He has a very smooth voice and I loved the Irish accent that he used. Kyle Maraglio goes seamlessly back and forth between the voices of Owen and Delaney making it easy to listen to. His voice brought the story to life and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. I look forward to listening to more by this narrator.

Listening to that sexy voice was like listening to Cillian telling his story.

I have this Wild Irish story in ebook and audible. Cillian and Delaney meet in Ireland in a mild car crash. Cillian is brooding and shuts his feelings off from everyone. Trust is a big issue for Cillian. Delaney is heartbroken and trying to live out a bucket list that’s not hers in Ireland . Delaney stays at Cillian’s house while her car is being fixed. Cillian is everything Delaney needs but doesn’t know it. She always tries to play it safe. The sparks and chemistry between these two are undeniable. They go off on a trip that had me swooning , hoping then wanting to shout at my Echo. I could not stop listening and wanting to grab Cillian and shake some sense in him. C M Seabrook writes such beautiful stories with angst for the characters that I can’t stop listening or reading until I find out the end. C M Seabrook is an author I just one click buy all her books. I will listen and read this again. Cillian lead singer hot sexy guy and Delaney a wounded soul that both need to let go and love.

Enjoyed

Kyle’s narration was great. It had a few editing problems as he did a different take and they didn’t edit out the original. Overall I loved the story.

Narrator needs work

The narrator needs to work on changes in voice to different characters and staying consistent with his accents. I found that at times I wasn’t really sure who was speaking between male and female and male to male characters. There were also a few glitches like repeated lines in the audio and some odd breath noises at times also.

Read and Listened

I read this book and then I listened to it months later. The part that ruined the listening experience for me was the awkward pauses and breaks. Some of them were really long pauses in the middle of a sentence in places where there shouldn't be a pause at all. I listened at 1.5 speed to try to make up for it, and it worked for the "normal" dialogue, but not for the pauses.

A Sweet Irish Romance

Delaney is on a mission. She wants to complete a bucket list, in Ireland. But its not her list. its her sisters, and Delaney plans to live the other womans dreams for her. exactly as she promised, on her deathbed. When she encounters a speeding red convertible, however, it seems she might not actually be able to achieve her goal. Her first view of the stranger who was driving said car leads her to all kinds of tempting thoughts.
Cilleen has a chip on his shoulder, towards his friends and especially his brother. The last thing he needs in his life is more complications. Its not his fault the American driving the car isn't used to natrow roads, even if he was going a little fast. Now he feels obligated to at least help her for the night. When he sees her, he know she could be just the distraction he needs.

The instant attraction between the two characters is hot. I find them to be well rounded and believable.
The narrators voice was nice, but I have to take off because he stumbled over the Irish accent. (I am a believer of finding someone who can do or has the accent used in the book.) Other than that, it was a good story that I found myself getting lost in.
Towards the end things seemed a bit more convenient, but not so much so that it felt untrue to either the story or the characters.

sometimes you need to listen

I have read and listened to this book. and I loved it both times, although it was a little weird to have Delaynee's part narrated by a male...

this book needs a different narrator

I like the story, however the narrator made it very hard to finish. The male voice reads the female character in first person. And he doesn't do a very good job. And the Irish accent was extremely inconsistent. so instead of enjoying the story all I could hear was bad narration

Sweet story, worst editing

Really a sweet story and perfect for a little of the Irish.
The poor editing is a real destruction
