When he walks into a room, George Wickham is the happy man towards whom almost every female eye is turned, and, for a while, Elizabeth Bennet is delighted to be singled out as the object of his attention. Disappointingly for those anticipative ladies, George Wickham has had a complicated past; a past which prevents him from marrying any of them as he has neither the means nor the talent to support a gentleman’s lifestyle.
And he already loves another.
Unfortunately for him, the independent lady he has fallen in love with is sensible. She knows and loves him for what he is, not what he pretends to be and until he has some security of his own, she will never risk hers by marrying him.

Miss Darcy is out?
Interesting book, but based on the novel much of it makes little sense, especially pertaining to Miss Darcy. She isn’t out in the book, but in this she’s out and going to parties and entertaining gentlemen.
