About this listen

Western culture has largely reduced Jesus to being an other-worldly savior of the soul pointing the way to heaven. But the messiah was far more. Ancient followers knew Jesus as one who came to redeem humanity physically mentally, spiritually and culturally. Wholly Jesus has a surprising voice in this holistic, pluralistic, ecological, peace-seeking world. And his message of transformed people transforming their world is radically unique and wonderfully freeing. In this book, discover how a fresh understanding of the holistic Redeemer provides a road map to the wholeness that so many people seek one that brings your mind, body and spirit into harmony with the full message of His love.©2008 Mark Foreman (P)2008 christianaudio.com

Afterlife is worth a listen

I recently bought Vice Versus by Switchfoot and love it. Serious themes are dealt with well and laid bare are many struggles that Christians are unwilling to square their beliefs with. I thought to myself, "I would guess the father of the dudes who play such raw music would himself be authentic and willing to wrestle with the questions that have plagued Christianity over the last few years, especially with a title like this. Boy was I wrong.
No offense, Mark, but I should not have held out hope that you were a chip off the old block of the Calvary Church denomination. This work reminded me of the difficulties I had with the otherworldly priorities of Christianity and what forced me off the boat. People are longing for Wholeness now. I think that is what Jesus came to give people. But the way you presented it in this book turns his whole message into should's, must's and shall's in order to "glorify God and enjoy him forever. That's not the stuff that makes people come alive.
