About this listen

You will love this sweet and clean romance. One elegant leading lady and 20 hot guys. What could possibly go wrong? Michelle knew she wouldn’t meet her forever husband on a reality dating show. This was just for fun. You never know what might happen when surrounded by 20 hot guys, none of whom shared her values. Running from his past, Ashton rides the waves to the pinnacle of his career as a professional surfer. He’s just arrogant enough to think he stands a chance with the elegant leading lady playing the part of bachelorette on the dating show, Love Letters. Until he figures out she’s a Mormon. Even before he makes the mistake of calling her out in front of the other guys he knows she’ll never choose him. Good girls don’t choose bad boys and there was no way he could hide his secrets from Michelle. Or could he?

It was predictable but cute, I enjoyed it

it was really enjoyable even though it was predictable. a little bit like a Hallmark movie for Mormons. I would definitely listen to another one of her books. The author has a good voice which is super important.

Sweet reality tv love story

Fantastic love story with a hint of religion but not overbearing. I resisted reading this book because I don’t share the Mormon beliefs. I’m glad I finally listened to the audio because I was pleasantly surprised in how great the story was! There were some aspects of religion but just enough to build the characters. I enjoyed the struggle the female had in fighting the one she didn’t want to love and the womanizing sweet talker who “pulled the wool over her eyes”. The plot kept you frustrated but rooting for the good guy! Read this book before the next one to better appreciate the guy in the next book. The narrator did a great job and helped bring the story to life.

Clean story on a reality TV Darin show

I listened to this book on audible. The story moves pretty quick and smoothly and it has a fun plot. I am not a fan of the bachelor/bachelorette tv shoe, but I did enjoy this clean take on a reality tv show.
There is some religious references to the Latter Day Saint faith, but the book is not overly religious. Overall it was a nice, sweet romance book with believable characters and a HEA.

Fun story

Enjoyed this story, fun concept on reality dating. Michelle was a little strict and unforgiving in some things, but then didn't show quite as much restraint when it was to her benefit. I do like that she held to her convictions and didn't have a problem sharing them. The book gave a little insight to Norman beliefs without being preachy. that redemption is also insinuated for Ashton.

Fun listen

This story packed fun into a short story. Never watching the dating shows on TV, it was interesting to listen to the actions of the gentleman trying to win a girl. My only disappointment was the story ended before I thought it should. I was anticipating a entire series for the show in the book. so when it b ended it was shocked.

I do recommend listening to this book. I was provided a copy.

Choices,choices!

Fun premise! Michelle gets tagged to be the bachelorette on a reality show Love Letters. Both Ashton and victor catch her eye. Michelle is very much the Mormon girl so all the guys tone it down for her. Ashton is a pro surfer dude who lost his faith years ago. Victor is a pro baseball player who really knows how to kiss and woo a girl. Choices, choices.

Love Letters

As a fan of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, I was curious to see how the author handled her fictitious show in "Who Wants to Marry a Mormon Girl," called Love Letters. Overall, she did a very nice job. I liked how each date focused on the passion and interest of one particular man, regardless of whether it was a solo date or a group outing. And I liked the idea that instead of giving out roses, love letters were written back and forth. What a great opportunity to level the playing field for the guys who weren't always the best when they were around the other contestants.

When Michelle first was chosen for the show, she wasn't even auditioning. So it seemed like she went into it with a little too cavalier of an attitude, viewing it just as a show. But as she started to get to know the men better, it became real to her.

Victor catches her attention early on, despite the guys all seeing right through the cad. But Ashton? Well, he challenges her and disappoints her, and she can't quite seem to keep him out of her head...

Who Wants to Marry a Mormon Girl?

A super fun and sweet listen. Very reminiscent of The Bachelorette, Love Letters is a reality show that has 20 men vying for the affection of Michelle. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, and found myself rooting for a happy ending.

Julie L. Spencer did a fantastic job of giving us a wide range of characters and a sweet storyline. I look forward to checking out more of her stories

Abigail Carson really brought the story to life. An entertaining performance.

Very fun book!

Very cute book! If you like the Bachelor or Bachelorette you’ll like this. I thought the premise of the love letters was fun, and the author was very well versed in the “Mormon” (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) culture and religion. Often authors can make members of this church come off very gimmicky, peculiar, or inaccurate.
The love story was sweet and fun, perhaps a bit obvious... but a great “beach read”.
I received this book for free in return for an honest review.
