A Lesson in Responsibility for Youth

In this installment of the Whitney Wallace Learns a Lesson series, Whitney feels she is old enough to take on some leadership roles at school. Once that responsibility comes, she rises to the challenge of planning a fundraiser for her class and experiences first hand the difficulties that arise when others she must rely on do not fulfill their responsibilities. Making this connection from the responses of the others she has to oversee in this assignment, she relates the experience to what her parents must feel when she doesn't do what she has been assigned to do at home.

Overall the story teaches this principle clearly and simply enough that a listener in the 4 to 10 year old range can gain insight and perspective into this part of their own character and be better prepared to acquire the attribute in themselves.

A fun way for kids to learn responsibility.

I highly recommend Whitney Wallace book's for young children. They are well narrated and written. I love the fact that they teach life lessons while the kids are enjoying listening. Whitney learns the unselfish deed of doing good things to benefit others and how important it is to follow through with those comments. Meanwhile the young listeners learn these lessons too. It's win win for the young listeners and parents. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Water fight!

My granddaughters loved it. Can't wait to listen to another Whitney Wallace adventure. And we lived the narrator.

Cute

Another cute morality tale about money and work. This is the 2nd book I've heard in this series and this one has all the same charm of the other -- both in story and narration. I look forward to hearing more from this author and narrator pair.

Great for all ages

When I told my granddaughter that I had another Whitney Wallace book to listen to, she became really excited. As we began listening to the book however, I realized that o should probably make my youngest son (17years old) listen to this as well.... LOL. Once again Whitney learns a lesson in life and in turn, we learn the same lesson. Very well done.
