About this listen

My name is Charlotte, and I have a special gift: I talk to the dead. Make no mistake, I can't summon them. I'm able only to see and speak to the spirits that linger when they're unable to cross over. They're somehow weighted to the world with unfinished affairs. And for the last six years, I've relentlessly used my gift to help their lost souls.

But it's come at a price. My life is dark. Feeling despondent, I've begun to give up. And in helping the dead, I've realized I haven't allowed myself to live. With no money, no place to go, and, most importantly, no hope, I've decided there is only one option - to end it all.

Fate is a funny thing, though. One minute I'm about to leap to my death, and the next I'm saved by Ike McDermott. The strong, striking soldier stopped me from putting an end to my despair. He's the kind of man who smiles and brightens an entire room. Sweet and gentle, he's my savior - and he's dead.

A touching and slightly emotional journey

4.5 stars. I loved most of this book. It was really touching and a bit of an emotional journey. It was quite lovely. I really disliked the epilogue though. It somewhat cheapened both the story and Char's gift.

Where One Goes was sweet, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. I loved Ike, George, the Mercers, even Sniper. That little town had a lot of really great people. I was very invested in this story, as well as the various characters. I read/listened to this book straight through in one day. I didn't want to put it down.

Audible:The narrators did a good job. It was a really easy book to listen to.

Awesome

I usually don't write reviews but this book was beautiful and the narrator's did a wonderful job. Listening to the book brought on so many emotions, I laughed, cried, and even got angry with some of the characters in the book.
This was my first book from this author and I can honestly say I look forward to reading other books written by the author.

The narrator's really brought the book to life, I could visualize the whole story as if I was there too.

This book is so good that my husband asked me what was the book's title, I asked why and he said he was listening to the book when he woke up too early and couldn't go back to sleep. He said he wanted to hear the whole book because it got his attention, he said it was so good that he didn't even try to go back to sleep. I was shocked because he doesn't care for audio books.

please don't pass this book up, it's a must read type of book.

Thanks to the author for writing such a great book and to the narrator's for doing an awesome job bringing the character's to life.

A spirit, he talks to her tells her he will make a deal with her. If she helps his brother George get his life together,he will help her get her life together. She didn’t plan on falling in love....With both of them

Holy moly! Great story!

What did you love best about Where One Goes?

Where do I begin? Okay, I love how I listened to it twice in two days. It was that good people.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the vulnerable side of the male characters. I enjoyed how the love stories were progressive throughout because if you are a woman, you'll fall in love with Ike and George too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just thinking about the dang book makes me want to start crying again. WTF? It was that good people!

Any additional comments?

Excellent character development. I don't quite understand how the main character floated around for five years without developing any real connections, but whatever. It worked itself out somehow. Her paranormal gift is well woven into the story and I really enjoyed how the author expanded out to multiple sub-characters. I enjoyed all of the fun side stories.

Overall, this will be one of top ten favorites forever!

Loved it from beginning to end

I cried at the last part, I hate farewells but that what makes the story so beautiful. I like how muscular the voice sounds for male characters and the accents for each character. I really felt the emotion of the book through the voices of the narrator. For the story, I like the flow of it, the ups and downs of the lead characters and how well the whole scene was described. Nice work..

good book

while having a male and female story tellers is a great idea, the female storyteller sounds like she has a bad case of hicupps. it is distracting and takes away from the storyline.

Beautiful Story

I really loved this story and thought it was beautiful. It certainly had its sad parts as well - but they were beautifully written. I haven't enjoyed a love story this much in a long time.
